This long awaited addition to the Bronx is a great place to take little ones. The target audience is definitely toddler through elementary focused. The layout gives it a much larger feel. The views are much different than most NYC 'museums.' The meshing of Bronx/NYC in the aesthetic is great. It doesn't feel as though the community then museum serves is being underrepresented.
The kids loved the museuma ND so did the adults.

This place is small, and I’m surprised by the number of staff, which seems to be aimed at keeping it clean. However, I don’t like that most areas close 30 to 40 minutes earlier than expected, with only the toddler area remaining open. It also feels restrictive because they ask for your name and check it against a list before letting you in, and then you have to check in at the front desk. I understand this is likely to prevent overcrowding, but it still feels a bit inconvenient

This museum is an amazing place to go with babies, toddlers and small children. It has plenty of activities for them to do.
I recommend reserving your ticket online before going as if it’s packed you might be turned away as walk in.

The staff in the art area was very rude. She was upset my child brought an egg and nest from the Casita area. My daughter was going to bring it back. The staff member made a big deal about it and used her walkie to call the front desk. Another staff member in the 3s only area was only strict about the rule for certain families, meanwhile a six year old played in the area. I was supposed to get an email from the supervisor since I paid full price even though I'm a member of the manhattan children's museum and have yet to receive a response.

Definitely a place to take your baby/toddler. I took my soon to be 2 year old and she had a blast. You park your stroller on the first floor and the staff member directs you to take an elevator upstairs. The upstairs area has several rooms and space for your toddler to explore. The bathroom is spacious and clean. All the staff members provided excellent customer service and were super friendly. They were very patient and understanding with my energetic tot. The place also has amazing duck families to watch from afar. Definitely going back.

We have a 2 yr old and a 4 yr old and they absolutely loved it. It has fun interactive activities perfect for their age. To be honest it felt more like an educational play space and nothing at all like your traditional museum which I’m not complaining about either.
All staff members were welcoming and pleasant. It was a great experience overall and I look forward to returning.

Always always the best staff who are super friendly respectful and professional. Our toddler loves coming here and you can legit be here for hours and not notice. There are so many things for children to do and what I would suggest to everyone is to park at the mall, walk over and don’t forget to bring a full change of clothes including socks and shoes. The water play area is really messy (in a good way) which means your child will leave here soaked. Breastfeeding, special needs and baby friendly!

I finally had the chance to visit the museum. You have to reserve a date and time before you go. I saw the water feature, the nest, the arts & community but I didn't see the cloud featuring Bronxtopia. Everything was going well until I asked one of the female staff at the welcome desk was the upstairs opened because I saw people going up there. The older Black female staff interjected and stated that's not for you with a stank attitude! I was perplexed because I didn't ask her anything. If this woman is a manager, she needs to be trained in customer service. Overall, she made the energy shift in the room. I recommend the museum for children 7 and under. But there's not too much to do there.

This place offers such an amazing experience. I truly enjoyed it with my kids. I went to other children's museums in the city and this is my favorite one. I was worried about it being timed but it was so much better this way. They have activities, story time, end of day parade . Was a great experience.
