Atmosphere was calm, diverse people here, got what I needed and didn't take too long. Seafood shouldn't be the in the front since that's the first smell when you walk in. Cheap quality carts too, so I will take a star away. Everything else was good. Left happyBig supermarket too

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR IN CHANG LI parking lot even for a second!!!! We parked the car in the lot just for 10 min to go to the bank to take out cash for shopping and they towed my car. Manager was not helpful and towing guy was rude! Would not recommend this store! This is a business for them, they have a partnership with a towing company that watches the parking lot always

I come here when searching for fresh seafood or produce without having to trek from the Bronx into Manhattan's Chinatown (I have no car). SEAFOOD This location has a nice variety of popular fresh seafood options. You may find the floor level holding tanks of live tilapia, lobster, etc. of interest to you. The frozen seafood has over 15 options, including octopus, squid, mussels, soft shell crab, crab legs, and more. This is the 1st place I had ever seen a BELTFISH! PROTEINS & MEATS The fresh meat area has a nice selection of pork, chicken, and beef. Here, you can find cow feet, pig feet, beef liver, and additional not so commonly requested proteins. The frozen meat area is where you may find black chicken, prepped ducks, and the like. Other proteins like beans, nuts, seeds, etc, are available in packaged or by weight. DAIRY PRODUCTS The dairy fridges have quail, duck, and of course chicken eggs. You can find popular brands of milk, including lactose free or fat- free options. Cheeses come in a variety of packaged options. SEASONINGS & SAUCES The array of available seasonings and sauces are bottled, packaged, and even fresh, which are PHENOMENAL! DRY GOODS There are so many variations of tea, soups, and noodles that I try to restrict myself to investigating no more than 6 each time I visit. COOKWARE Strainers, ladles, pots, steamers, wrappings, storage bags, and the like are available here. PRODUCE Produce offerings are always aromatic and fresh. Long green beans, various onions, tropical fruits, and more. Mushrooms can be purchased fresh or dry packaged. BEVERAGES Sodas, drink & flavor mixes, etc. are easily found. DESSERTS & SNACKS MY FAMILY LOVES POCKY (stick-shaped cookie dipped in various icing choices, etc.) since first discovering it here. International and traditional American snacks are usually well stocked. SERVICE & AMBIANCE This place is usually quite busy. Variety, fresh options, and good prices tend to make it so. The busiest areas are the SEAFOOD & MEAT areas of the store. You are provided a service ticket for your order while prepped NOT ALL EMPLOYEES HAVE FLUENT ENGLISH Cashiers are usually very nice! Busier times can activate impatience, although there are about 6 checkout counters. This is a bustling marketplace with employees who make an effort to assist you as best they can. Store often offers future loyalty sales, and other returning customer incentives at checkout BOTTOMLINE I recommend this place... It's worth going to for hard to find international food items. Nice for fresh goods like meat, produce, and seafood. On-site free parking. Limited parking when busy, so you'll have to find street parking nearby.

For quite some time, Chang Li Supermarket has been a Parkchester favorite in regards to getting quick produce. With many seafood options, as well as everyday food items like rice, juice, cereals, and vegetables galore, Chsng Li is definitely worth the grocery visit. This place is well recommended amongst locals. Might I suggest checking out their many herbal teas? Not just Lipton tea, either. Enjoy!

This is a longtime staple in the neighborhood. You will find everything to from live fish and seafood to produce and of course Asian culinary staples. This is a go to spot if you are looking to prepare an East Asian meal for sure. The grocery store is large by NYC standards so set aside a bit of time to peruse the aisles. Of course you can find items that you would typically find at most grocery stores, but many of the items at Chang Li you won't find at your local market. Hint: durianThey have a dedicated parking lot as well.

Nice Asian market with a wide variety of Asian products. My only real critique of this market would be its extremely outdated and in dire need of updated flooring. The floor is broken up in a lot of places and could be potentially dangerous. Because of the seafood section, the entire store smells of fish/seafood as well. Not pleasant especially if you don't care for fish.

I like this Asian market for its wide selection of Asian products. But today I found out several cars being booted for parking “illegally” in their lot. Apparently they boot cars who parked in their lot and go somewhere else to shop. This is not true though. The owners of those cars they boot did shop at their stores and have receipts as proof.I stayed in my car and let my mom do the shopping. I was afraid they would do the same thing to my car and charge $180 to remove the boot. I’m not going back there anymore for sure.

Worst service and management ever you can receive from a supermarket! They will boot your car even if you shop from them. Anyway you have to pay some suspicious guys (not even manager of store) to release boots from your car. They will look into your car from outside by flashing lights. And, It seems the booting is racial (bengalis only)!

I used to come here in the early to late 2000s. It was the best Asian market for the Bronx. Unfortunately, their Asian produce selections are not as good as back then. Way too many items are missing, like instant seasonings & certain ramens. Too bad. I hope they bounce back soon...
