I used to go to another grocery store but CTown won me over with their specialy priced produce section and their sales and specials. the specially priced produce is produce that is imperfet, overippened or beginning to show some sign of rot. I know that last word is going to scare some people away, but honestly most times whatever part of the produce it is you just cut that off. Everything on this shelf is usually between $1 and $2 and thats typically for multiples of the produe item. For example, last week I got a pack of 8 mixed tomatoes (some were roma, 2 were some type of big vine) and it olny cost $1. I took it home and made enough pasta sauce for 4 to 5 meals from that. Every week I go there and get my produce from that shelf and it's always really good taste wise, and sometimes the produce they put on there can be higher end and unique. 2 weeks ago I got a package of smaller bananas there that would typically be around $6 a bunch for only $1. Things I commonly see there include: apples, oranges, eggplants, bananas, plantains, tomatoes and sometimes yams and potatoes. CTown's produce is pretty good, although they varyiety isn't extensive the produce they have is usually very flavorful and in good condition so shoppping on this discount rack can help you get some great food for a great price if you're on a tight budget for meals.

This C Town is very expensive. All of the staff is Dominican & they act as if they would rather if you didn't shop there.They seem to treat the customers very very poorly.

I've shopped at this CTown since it first opened after Fedco closed. From the beginning the store was clean, well lit, had a reasonable supply of products, good sales but some prices are a bit high. The meats are fresh, plentiful and the selection reflects the neighborhood. Some selections I will only buy here because they are more flavorful than any purchased elsewhere. In the recent past and since the pandemic, they have increased the types of products sold in keeping with the changing demographics of the neighborhood. The prices remain competitive in spite of shortages due to the pandemic, but you can find most of what you need right here. The management is competent and always available, cashiers helpful and the lines are not too long. It would be nice if they could hire more people from the neighborhood though. A good store overall.
