I was hesitant to write this review but I MUST write it. I am speaking for those people who don't write reviews but read them. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a pharmacy. The district manager must really look into this location, because the lines are ALWAYS LONG- they move slowly and the manager is always MIA. On the weekends they are always understaffed. Why do you only have one pharmacist and one pharmacy tech? You should have two pharmacist and 2 techs or 2 pharmacist and 1 tech. Today Sunday there was only a pharmacist NO TECHNICIAN, whoever does the schedule here has got to go! How do you schedule the pharmacist to do 3 jobs,that is putting pressure on her, she is taking orders, filling up prescriptions, attending customers, doing flu shots ! Is crazy! people in line always complaining but no one writes reviews or calls. I am, I am writing and calling also submitted a complaint incident.Having the pharmacist doing all roles, is unacceptable. That is pressure on her, what if she fulfills the incorrect pills, and hands it to the incorrect customer. The pressure for her to do 3 jobs is not right. On the weekends when people are off from work to go pick up their meds, this place should have at least 2 pharmacist and 1 tech or 1 pharmacist and 2 techs. Seriously Are you understaffed? Hire more! We are in a recession lots of people looking for jobs! I used to go to Walgreens CVS in 161 Morris Ave, the lines are always long there too but they ALWAYS have 2 techs. The lines are long but they move! However, in this location Target CVS Exterior st, lines always long, move slow and manager always MIA so I decided to write review and submit a incident report. The operations in this pharmacy is ridiculous.

Please avoid this pharmacy. I wish I can give it a -5 stars. The pharmacist, Andrew Kahn and his tech assistant, I spoke with on 9/23/24, are rude and dismissive. Andrew sold an opened prescription to me on 9/22. I should have checked it before purchasing, but I didn't think a medical professional would sell an opened prescription. When I returned to CVS to return it, the tech told me he has a no return policy. So I gave her the bag and showed her the box was cut opened and she shrugged and said it probably happened when we opened the package. If the store/staff damaged a product, especially a prescription, that product should not be sold. The pharmacist should have sent it back as a damaged item. I will not return to CVS pharmacy.

Unhelpful return call. Wouldn't tell me about "outdated" prescriptions. It was from last month as an alternative to the script I had last month since they were out of stock. Shocker they were out of stock. Again.
While this is out of their control.
The man on the phone 9/17 was confrontational, escalatory in tone , and unhelpful.

I am writing to express my concern regarding a recent experience I had at your pharmacy. On August 15th, 2024, I encountered a situation where the pharmacist was notably unpleasant and disinterested. Despite my presence at the counter, he did not inform me that my prescription would need to be filled, leaving me standing there without any guidance or updates.
Effective communication and a courteous attitude are crucial in customer service, and I felt these were lacking in this instance. I would appreciate it if you could address this matter to ensure better service in the future.

This CVS would be great people showed up to work. Waited on line for an hour, there was no sign stating it was closed. It was 10:50am, to 12pm so doubt they took an early lunch as this place is supposed to open up at 11am. I’ve lost relatives and been in the ER and I had the where with all to call out, so there really is no excuse for stupidity or negligence. These are the people who manage your medication that you may or may not need to survive, I feel very confident in them (sarcasm)

My experience at this location is always pleasant. Andrew is super helpful and knowledgeable. If every a problem arises he is patient and will explain how to resolve the situation. My only unpleasant experience is having to pay for parking to pickup medication. It would be nice if CVS could validate the parking.

The pharmacy acts very effectively and efficiently. Both pharmacists that I have met, are professional, informative, courteous, respectful and personable. The only issue is that they are working shorthanded. There was a significant line. New prescriptions were accepted, and dispensed Pick ups of ready prescriptions were given to clients.\nClients were counseled and instructed. The pharmacist even administered a vaccination, all while working alone. No other pharmacist or even a pharmacy tech. She even called a drug company for clarification for my medication. The pharmacist was level headed and worked with confidence. For a pharmacist to be working alone is certainly unconscionable and dangerous. As a medical professional 0, I know that the pharmacy can be under attack by robbers and drug addicted individuals. I also know that the most mistakes are made when hurried. Please look into these issues and resolve. Otherwise for consumer, I would recommend this establishment.

Prescriptions are never ready and usually have a backlog on medications which means you may be waiting days or weeks for your prescription(s). Also they don’t accept many insurance policies because they are connected to Target.
