I travel out of my way to go to CVS at Target on 225th. It's important for me to be treated kindly and respectfully and this staff meets all standards in my eyes. Highly recommended!!!!

CVS on 40 w225 Bronx is horrible with keeping pain medication in stock. Being disable wheelchair bound. I deal with severe pain. Which make it hard to stand nd sleep. I’ve waited days at one time, which turned into weeks, turned into 1 month nd this time was about a week 1/2 shy of 2 months. Had I not called to check if the pain meds were in stock. I’ve would’ve still be waiting. They don’t bother to look at any prescription that’s been on hold when the meds do come in, to be filled. I’ve experienced this multiple x’s. Having to call and see if it been filled. I would call and she would say “ok come in a hour”. Like umm the prescription has been there for hours, another time a month. So had I not called I would’ve still be waiting. Oh yea I’ll get the test stating my prescription will be ready , after that called to check if it’s been filled. Because it’s close to my place this is what I have to put up with. Because a lot of local mom and pops don’t hold my pain meds I have to deal with a corporation. I don’t have time to look for small businesses pharma. Cause so many ppl has messed it up for ppl like me who really need pain meds. It’s Hydrocodone. Btw nd when I ask for oxycodone they didn’t have that either. So this is why they get 1 star.also the lack of concern the techs or whoever is responsible to check the prescriptions, making sure they get filled upon arrival of back order medication

This place is likely on some near-future shut down list. You know the trick, they'll blame their poor performance on shoplifting, or that "you can't find good help anymore," while incompetent management doesn't know (or care) to train, or hold, good people. Most of the workforce there aren't even qualified to dig a ditch!

The pharmacist of this location couldn’t be more incompetent and unprofessional. I ordered my COVID test prior to May 12 that it was the deadline. When I ordered, I was told that the order was already placed but I needed to wait to May 8 to pickup up. I explained to the person that handled my order that I was going to be overseas on that day and I was coming back on May 16th. That person told me not to worried that they were going to keep my order for 2 weeks for me to pick it up. Today on May 17, I went to pick it up and the guy at the cashier said they put it back on the shelf on May 12th because I didn’t pick it up. Then apparently a pharmacist who’s name was Angelo came saying that my order couldn’t be made because it ended on May 12th. I explained that I placed the order before May 12th but he couldn’t put any words together giving me an answer that made any sense. The bottom line is that this company decided to put my order back when they were supposed to save it from me.Now I understand the bad reviews and how frustrating can be dealing with employees that just want to excuse their unprofessional way to do business.

I can honestly say Melissa is a dream pharmacist. She knows her clients, remembers my family and works to take care of us. I see her take care of others just the same too! I have been going to this pharmacy for a long time, I am not sure if Melissa was always there but I could not imagine it without her. I do think they are an extremely busy location given the target placement in a highly trafficked area. Considering this it blows me away how patient, kind and positive Melissa has always been. Could not say enough praises!One thing CVS should remote source calls to this pharmacy, I may not know the logistics of the inventory confirmations but for the team to provide the level of care to so many and still have to answer calls I find it exceptional that they perform the way they do. If they didn't have to constantly hear the "1 pharmacy call" prompt every 2 seconds I think it would reduce their stress levels and that of the people trying to call in to an already at capacity location.

I've picked up monthly meds at this CVS for years and in most recent years the customer service/communication is just horrible! The staff appear overworked and tired. You ask them a simple question after waiting on line for 45 minutes and get nothing but attitude. I've asked them to switch my RX's to another CVS and they can't can't even do that which is super annoying!!! I try to call this location and the staff constantly hangs up on me to not do their work while I'm at work and unable to call back on a whim. I don't care if it's a poor community. Human Decency is free. Respect is free. They need to break up that team of workers and start from scratch. People here deserve quality care and respect. It's outrageous how they ignore calls directly from the doctor's office.

wish I can give a 0 stars review.by far this is the worst CVS pharmacy, phone is a horrible wait of over 30-45 minutes, and going in person is another issue, the line is horrible. Pharmacy is short staffed, the wait time in line is insane and the people that are actually working there are super slow.

THIS IS THE WORST PHARMACY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH .No one including their head pharmacist ever knows what is going on or what they’re talking about. They do not communicate with patients to let them know they’re out of stock or there’s a problem.. every single time I call I wait on hold for 20 3040 minutes and the line is always all the way to the back of target
