Yup some of the people who work here are HORRID. Especially examiner 904, which constantly touched my wheel and pressed on the brake for no reason at times. Get him out, people like this are not qualified to manage road tests.

I took my road test on a Friday morning here and the wait for under 10 minutes. I had Examiner #535 and he was great! He was calm and straightforward. His directions were clear, and he told me when I made a mistake. I lost 10 points but passed the road test in the first try! The test lasted about 10 minutes.

The wait time is definitely the loss of the 1 star. Took almost 4 hrs to finally get to test so I suggest clearing out your entire day tbh. I had examiner 788 he had a very calm energy that put me at ease when I got in the car. Explained the plan for the test and even told me in advance before the test that he’d be giving me feedback on my driving. Complimented my parking and 3 point turn and let me know one of my turns was wide. I passed with 85 and appreciated his feedback. Thank you examiner 788!

Examiner #904 was rude and smug, from the moment he got in the car to the moment the test ended. This examiner had no faith in my driving capabilities. Anxious the whole way through. At one point he tells me to pull to the side and I’m checking my blind spots to make sure it’s safe to do so, and before I could turn wheel, he takes the wheel and turns it for me which was completely uncalled for. When I go to park I align myself with the cars mirror and he tells me if I touch the mirror I’ll fail and I wasn’t even close to the other cars mirror. The kicker is when we finish the test he has me pull up to HIS CAR instead pulling up to the place he had my instructor wait. Examiner #904 is a middle aged heavy set hispanic, you’ll know who it is when he approaches you. If you get this guy just pack it up. If it was up to me I would’ve left him on the side of the road.

I had examiner #788. It was a calm experience, I felt comfortable throughout the test, and he was very polite since the beginning. It was an informative road test, which means the examiner was telling me what I was doing right and wrong. Overall , wonderful experience and great examiner !!! I passed the test !!

PLEASE avoid examiner 507. she failed me on almost everything. idk if she was having a bad day but once she sat in the car i already had a feeling that she was gonna fail me by her facial expressions. she had an attitude and would make me feel nervous during my test every time i made a mistake she would be like ?. she failed me so bad and gave me so many points for 1 mistake. my second road test was with examiner 1002 such an amazing and sweet examiner. thanks to her i passed.

I took my road test here after having a dreadful experience at the Yonkers DMV road test site. I had a gentleman that made me feel relaxed and not stressed about taking the test. It took about 12 minutes and I BARELY passed! But I passed! He graded me fairly and told me when I made the mistake at the time of incident. I give him 5 stars but because I waited so long in line, I knocked a star off. I GOT MY LICENSE! I’m just waiting for it in the mail now.

So far this was the easiest area to schedule a road test.

After failing 2x , first road test in Long Island, Wantagh with examiner 704. He was unfriendly. I was told Long Island is the easiest place to go for the road test, less cars, but wrong. I failed miserably, mind you the car I was intending to use (my dads Audi ) I couldn’t use. So I used my friends Lexus 460GX , huge car. So after failing miserably ( I knew it in my gut that I failed ) I decided to scout for the next location for my 2nd road test. Problem is when you schedule a second road test the DMV website can only give dates 7 days after failing the initial road test. I scouted for Rosedale which to me seemed like a less highly traffic area. I had examiner 404 he looked just like Chief keef. Haha.Anyway since I still couldn’t use my dads car I personally had to call a driving school at the last minute to schedule a car for the road test. ( I have practiced many times in other vehicles) but I figured let me use the school car and practice around the area with her before my road test time. On this second time with examiner 404 he failed me for so much crap. For going to slow ( I did 40 on the first exam) I figured doing 20mph was safe but he told me twice to pick up the speed, which I did. I parked damn near perfect , including the 3 point turn , besides the “too slow” comment he did say I turned to wide but that was it. As soon as I finished he had my double park at the side of a two way street which I found strange. Anyhow I left feeling a lot better because he only mentioned 2 errors to me , and I was a lot more comfortable with him than the first examiner. When I found out I failed that test I was so angry , I really thought I did better than the 1st road test , for sure. However , I didn’t give up I said to myself that the 3rd time was it. I would have to pass, my permit was about to expire and no way in hell was I going to take the learner permit test , again! When I scheduled the 3rd road test , I was give one location which was Havenmeyer , BX , the other locations had dates past my expiration date on my permit. Note: if you fail 2 road tests , you have to pay $10.00 for the 3rd road test ( even if you pass or fail).
So here we go 3rd time at Havermeyer and i had examiner 788. When he got in the car , he had to check with DMV because it was not letting him or me to go forward with the road test. DMV probably flagged me for failing 2x , anyhow he got on the phone with someone from the office and they let me proceed with the exam. I have to say examiner 788, he was the best. He was clear , polite and I messed up on the parking , I was to far away from the curb. He allowed me to fix my error and I continued with the test. He did say about my turns being too short and too wide. But other than that once i finished he said Happy Birthday my B-day was in 5 days and said to check my results after 6. I already had a bad feeling because I was already failed twice and felt that I made more errors on the test but he probably did not point it out. BUT LET ME TELL YOU the three errors that I made was exactly what he took points off for. Examiner 788 you are the nicest DMV examiner I’ve encountered. I wish there were more like you.

Had a 4pm appointment and was last in line. The instructors were leaving for the day and I had to get out of the car to ask them if someone was going to come give the exam. Examiner 486 got in the car with me and did not speak clearly. She mumbled and I could not hear her. I did everything right pulling out to start the test, put my signal on, looked multiple times before pulling out. I went up the steep hill where she asks you to do the three point turn. I started the first point and checked to see no cars were coming. Then a car turning on the street and speeding to get past me came out of nowhere. I had barely taken my foot off of the brake and then immediately stopped when i saw the car. She yelled at me unnecessarily. i was shocked at how much she yelled at me. It was extremely unprofessional and rude. I was nowhere near the other car and it was speeding. She then failed me. In addition to that she cited other things that were just not true, for example that I did not have control of the steering wheel and that i wasn’t stopping. You could tell that she came into this with a terrible attitude and wanted to look for any reason to fail me right away so she could go home. This was an awful experience.
