The host guided us to a wonderful app and entrees (fried meatballs, chicken scarpiolla (sp?) and chicken francese) and seated us 2 without a reservation about 5pm on a Sunday. The food was wonderful, loaded with butter! The server was efficient and the bathrooms clean and the restaurant appealing. It doesn't get much better for Italian food!

We had been to Enzo's once before for lunch. We though the food was good, the environment was comfortable, and pricing reasonable. Last evening we went with friends for dinner -- the food was good (though two of the five main courses were judged okay). But, our waiter was more bravado than service. Wine came but the appetizers weren't ordered because he said he needed to put the entire order in at once (okay, you could have said that). But, the meal required prompting and when we finally asked when the main courses would arrive, another waiter came to explain the kitchen was backed up (we think he was covering for our waiter). Another waiter quickly took charge and our food arrived very quickly. This could have been an isolated situation - but, many would probably find our waiter irritating to deal with. Certainly, our table thought so.

The food here is reminiscent of my grandmothers. We had lunch here after spending time at the Botanical Garden. Strolling on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx is like stepping back in time. Eating at Enzo’s is like stepping back in time too. We enjoyed the veal, eggplant and the sauce!, well the sauce was unforgettable. We will be back again in the nic weather to enjoy more great Italian food.

My hubby and I are big Dominick's fans. We live about an hour.away. However that Sunday we had 3 pm concert in New York, and Dominick's opens at 1, so we decided to try Enzo's. The waiter suggested to try fried meatballs. I ordered chicken scarparriello, I added potatoes to it for 5 dollars extra. My husband ordered rigatoni Bolognesse . They brought us 2 plates, mine was dirty. My husband ordered peroni beer. Two glasses were brought in, my husband didnt have time to check his glass - the waiter pured beer.in it.. I looked at mine- it had bits of dry food inside. Not a good beginning of the meal. And we were one of the first people that came after the opening. The meatballs were dry, my chicken was OK, l can't find the right words to discribe it. My husband's bolognesse had a strange after taste. The pasta.was choowy. The total was 72 dollars with change, excluding tip. . That was the fourth italian restaurant we tried on aurthur ave... Dominick's, by far,.is the best Italian restaurant I have ever had visited in my 30 years in the US.

Our entire family, eighteen grandchildren and their parents, 31 in all, was treated to the most enjoyable dining experience ever!
Following a morning trip to the Holiday Train Show , we had made reservations for lunch at Enzo's. We were escorted to a private dining room beautiful;y set for us. Our waiter, Mike immediately set the tone of congeniality and warmth, offering suggestions for the children : family style pizza as an appetizer followed by their own individual orders. Each child, down to the youngest, at 2, was invited to select their own entree.
The adults enjoyed family style appetizers as well, followed by the most delicious array of entrees. It was top notch, from beginning to end!
We will certainly return to this welcoming restaurant and carry many memories to cherish!
* Special thanks to Andrew for coordinating this special time.
