Wait staff are delightful and playful. Food is delish! The sangria…. Let me tell you about the sangria. Don’t underestimate the sangria. Very good though. Customers can be rude but if you like the vibe and can chill then block them out. It’s the Bronx baby it’s all about the love and

Starting with the positive, the service was welcoming, casual, and timely. We didn't wait long for anything, and our needs were well attended to. The ambiance is also very casual, with cheap but comfortable enough chairs, poorly painted and dark walls, and awful pop-Italian music playing. I don't care too much about the atmosphere, as it wouldn't have bothered me in the slightest had the food been better. Unfortunately the food was nearly awful. We should have guessed, as a table next to us sent back three of their five dishes hardly touched. We were already eating our arancini (which was palatable enough) when this occurred, so we hoped maybe they were just incredibly picky. I ordered the butternut squash ravioli, and my partner ordered the red tagliatelle salmon limoncello, a special today. The most flavorful thing about the butternut squash was the shredded cheese they brought to the table with it. It was bland, wet, with very little color and even less flavor. My partner fared a little better, saying his pasta was alright but the salmon was very bland. Out of politeness we finished our plates, but after spending nearly $120 on easily the worst meal I've had in months, we would never be able to return, let alone recommend this restaurant.

Terrible pizza. We were told to be patient cause it takes 15 minutes to make a pizza, cause it's made from scratch. We didn't mind waiting. The pizza came on a premade crust, which was very doughy, very thick and under cooked. For roughly $18 an individual pizza it was awful. A supermarket pizza had more flavor. We were terribly disappointed. We told them when we were leaving and they nodded their heads and said thanks for telling them. I have to say the service was exception. The waiters were very attentive, but I wouldn't go back for pizza.

We were checking out Arthur Ave for dinner and we came across Gerbasi Ristorante. We took a chance and had a Great Dinner. The Atmosphere and Staff were Great. We felt comfortable and ordered the Cold Antipasta and Fried Calamari then our Dinners. I would recommend this establishment anytime when you are in the Belmont section of the Bronx.

Went to diner here and sat in the patio. Food was delicious and service was great. The server was knowledgeable of the specials. The food came out on time and was cooked to perfection.

Had a wonderful meal at this charming restaurant. Had two salads and clams oreganato for starters. Loved the cesear salad. Friends enjoyed the fennel salad w oranges. Ordered one of the specials, gnocchi w bolognese and broccoli rabe. Delicious and huge portion. Others in my party very happy with their choices as well - linguine w clams, eggplant parm and chicken parm. The bread was amazing too. Staff was very accommodating when we asked to sit in their outdoor patio. Also attentive throughout the meal. Would love to go back!

I arranged for a dinner with friends. Upon arrival the restaurant on a Friday night was empty. After eating there I understood why. Food was not authentic in the the Italian style of exceptional quality. Pasta looked like it was Barisal. The waiter kept coming over and disturbing the conversation among friends pushing food. Meanwhile there were only two tables in the patio with clients. The bathroom was not clean, looked run down. The waiter was not proud of the food or working conditions. He said he was leaving in a week to work at a nearby restaurant. Leaving there, I felt dirty and like I had put bad quality food into my body. Prices were ridiculously high for the type and quality of food. Sorry to say that I won’t be returning. The restaurant has much improvement to do.Vegetarian options: No interesting salads or vegetarian options. First was eh.

I love this place. Been here many times. I always bring friends who are coming to Arthur Avenue for the first time. Egg Plant Rollatini appetizer is fantastic. Barolo meat balls excellent. All main dishes great. George the waiter is a jewel.. outdoor patio wonderful. It's a must try.Parking: Lot around the corner. Cheaper than street meters.

Love Little Italy in the Bronx. This is a nice place. Their back patio is very cute and spacious. The food was really good. You can eat for about $40 per person. Went with the family for lunch. I had the butternut squash ravioli it was perfect. My husband has the veal parm and he enjoyed it. Definitely a place to stop by.

The food & service were amazing. My waiter was George and he was fantastic. I had the Cacio y Pepe with shrimp and it was super good. They make their pasta fresh & the shrimp was fresh also. You can taste the quality in their food. My favorite thing was definitely their roasted peppers sauce with bread, there's magic in that sauce. I'm going back just to buy a jar and stuff my face with fresh authentic Italian food.

I'm sure there are other excellent places to eat on Arthur Ave, but every time I eat at Gerbasi, it feels unnecessary to go anywhere else. For the last 10 years, since discovering their sweet little back patio, I've taken various friends, family, dates (and now my husband!) to share homemade pasta and desserts alongside other happy guests and delightful staff.
