I came to the store at 7 40 pm on a Tuesday, the store close at 8 pm, but the person inside close the door even though he saw me coming to the door... I asked if the store was close and he said yes,didn't even let me get what I was going to get!!!!

My name is Ms Parker and I was a member of GNC pro access some time ago. I ended up becoming a member at Vitamin Shoppe, but recently decided to give GNC a chance again. I’m into bodybuilding and personal training so aside from my own products, I like to send my clients to get their respective products from a nearby source.I went to purchase two products from the store manager at Westchester Avenue Bronx, NY 10462. Daniel said the price match has been reduced drastically and there were no longer price matches from Vitamin Shoppe. He said MuscleTech is a company that doesn’t have a price match anymore. BUT he said he could give me these “unavailable” price matches if I decided to purchase a GNC pro access membership. It didn’t sound right to me, but I didn’t argue. I put away the items. I was about to go to Vitamin Shoppe and take my business there. I decided to contact your website chat and I was notified that the information Daniel the store manager gave me was not true. Is this a tactic to get more people to sign up for memberships? If it is, it’s misleading. I really wanted to give this company a chance again. I’m very disappointed in such sales tactics. Why would he offer erroneous information? I took a screenshot of the GNC chat which disproved what this manager told me. I hate to think about the possible number of people who may not know to direct their questions to another part of your company for verification, who may have been mislead by Daniel the store manager.

Very bad business, 6/8/22 430pm doors locked and no one visible from store window. Stayed half hour, about 8 costumers came and left, I finally did also. No sign saying how long attendant would be gone.. BAD BUSINESS, I will go elsewhere from now on.

The manager Maria is rude and is very politically incorrect...that's putting it mildly. She allowed her lighter complexioned customer to skip me and my daughter(we are African American). Instead of apologizing, she argued and lied about the situation. The same customer was never on the line. She helped him behind the register while we were already on the line. That same manager asked me what country I was from a few months earlier...as if that had anything to do with business. She also said she didn't care if I called the CEO which shows you the standards the employees are given when it comes to customer service. The entire ordeal felt racist and it just wasn't professional. There is an employee name Mario who talks badly about his fellow employees to customers, which is uncomfortable to say the least. He's a grown man so it looks odd that he would interrupt a transaction to bad-mouth employees who are much older than he is...especially when those employees he speaks bad of are actually great and make the store better. He also gets sores/warts on his arms and hands and they sometimes look like he picks at them because there will be blood, and he won't wear gloves when performing transactions. There was a previous manager who was moved from the store because she would hide in the back and not serve minority clients during the pandemic. GNC needs to do better with this location. I've been going to Vitamin Shoppe. They have more variety and better customer service. They respect people regardless of race. The employees don't speak badly about each other and make the customer feel uncomfortable. It's a functional and professional environment to buy protein and energy drinks and go about your day.
