Prices are outrageous. They have become the only grocery store in the area. You go to buy something for dinner even if it’s on “sale” you’re still paying an arm and a leg. No reason why items for a couple dinners on “sale” should come out to over $100 something needs to be done asap because this has become a major issue

KeyFood is the neighborhood go-to store. People who have moved still come back to shop in KeyFood.

They treat their customers like criminals and have no courtesy. You have to leave your reusable bags at the entrance before you are allowed into the store . Once you get to the register with your groceries they bring your bags to your register. I’ve never experienced this in all my 20 years living in NYC. Twice I’ve purchased food that was spoiled. This is my first returned item which is refrigerated moldy pasta WITH the receipt and the manager didn’t even apologize for the spoilage. First of all, you cannot go into the store with the return, you have to return the item first then take your bag back to the entrance then go get your replacement item (in my case I got the dried RAO’s pasta because I was in the middle of cooking dinner when I realized the other pasta had mold) then I had to stand in a long line to purchase the new pasta. Oye! They are not your friendly neighborhood grocery that you would expect. It’s such a shame. We just moved to the Bronx from Queens and I want to support our local markets but I will not be made to feel like a criminal. Their prices are also very high! If they have a problem with shoplifters They need to think of a better solution to serve the community while protecting their store. Customers spend a lot of money in this store. My mistake for thinking I bought a home in a decent neighborhood, I didn’t realize I moved to a ghetto. Such a shame. I don’t recommend shopping here and will drive to another neighborhood for my groceries where I’m appreciated as a paying customer.

Prices are like they're the only supermarket in the neighborhood. If you can drive, grab your circulars and price shop. Get what's on sale here, otherwise forget it.

It's OK. The meat department is exceptionally good and I love the deli. For the most part the workers are friendly and helpful. Produce can be better but otherwise it's a great store.

I wanted to give it 3 stars but I gave it 4 because of its meat selection. The beef, chicken and pork products are pretty good. The prices of the meat are reasonable and they are very good quality. I don’t buy much else here, I usually do large shopping trips at ShopRite cause the prices are much better. Some of the regular stuff I buy is priced significantly higher at this store. The produce is pretty good also. You can get some good sales. Their selection of coffee is small and lacking. They try to fit a lot of products in the store. Also, they follow you around until they know you are not stealing. You have to check your bags and their security can be aggressive.

Fresh fruits, great variety of cheeses and a ton of frozen products. Conveniently located in Pelham Bay with lots of parking space

I give this place 3 star because of the deli and most of the workers I’ve encountered are super nice and helpful. However, this place falls short on the produce. One of the worst produce markets I’ve experienced. Fruit is poor, moldy and old with in a day of purchase. Especially if it’s not sale, don’t even think about it. Additionally, this place is super expensive for everything.

My reason for such a low rating is their bag check in at the entrance. An older female checking bags was speaking almost yelling that people here are stealing. We have to get your bags. It almost felt like she was saying every one was stealing. She should get trained on her job title and responsibility to the customers. I work loss prevention and that would have been a write up and or lead to termination.

I was told I was not allowed to bring my bag into the store... Yet in NY you're supposed to bring your own bags. Super weird.

Much out of date items on the shelf and if you bring them back they give you a hard time we're your customer service skills check your shelves rotate why give your customer a hard time we have so many choices to go shop other stores definitely need a good manager to teach your employees how important customers are

Great selection. Every month or so, I'm always seeing new items. Fair prices. Clean and modern with friendly staff. Especially the staff in the deli section. Always pleasant and helpful.
