This is a basic convenient wine and liquor store that carries popular brands of spirits. The owners are very nice people and have run it for over 20 years.

I have been coming here for over four years now that I live in the neighborhood. As another reviewer mentioned, the variety is limited, but carries the popular brands of liquors and wine, and you can pick up a mid-range quality bottle of wine like Robert Mondavi or Frances Coppola or higher-end champaign such as Veuve Clicquot. I stick with buying popular brands here. The owners are very nice people. I have seen them deal with snobby or rude customers and they have always been even-keeled. They have been running the business for over 25 years and I don't think they plan on changing anything to make it fancier, just like the rest of the establishments in this tiny outdated strip like Ben's and Rite Aid and Kings (though they have new owners who have made some improvements). One time, I left my credit card, and the owner gave it to me the next time I was in. They are honest people. During the Christmas season, they gave me a calendar, and the woman loves my dog and lets me bring him in when I shop. Bring a bag as they don't supply them under the NY state mandate (I saw a customer get irate because they didn't have bags).

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Today I went in to buy a bottle of wine. I asked the merchant if he could wear a mask. Perhaps that is not a question you should ask but I am very concerned about the variants and breakthrough cases. He refused to sell to me and told me never to come back. I have been patronizing this store for over 18 years (not my exclusive liquor store but I have given them a lot of business over the years). Is this any way to treat a customer???

I find so many of these reviews very sad I have lived in the neighborhood for five years and use their shop occasionally and the owners are always nothing but kind and friendly to me and help me hold the door open if I have my daughter and her stroller. It's not a huge store so the variety is very limited but I'm far from a wine connoisseur so I am more than happy to support this mom and pop neighborhood shop.

Unsafe, don’t go here, employee/owner(?)WILL NOT WEAR A MASK IN THE STORE. Can I give zero stars?Just went there for the first time, and I didn't even make it in the door, the person working (older asian woman(?) with short gray hair) there was waving me to come in with their mask dangling off of one ear, I just figured it was inadvertent, that they didn't realize, (we've all done it at least once during this long long year), but I gestured to it and said nicely, "Oh your mask" to them to give the heads up, she kept gesturing for me to come in the store and I was like pointing to the mask, then she gives me a nasty look, turns her back to me and sits down and refuses to put on the mask or turn around. Wow ok. Honestly on one hand I think it's sort of funny, like sure don't take my money. That was about $70 probably they would've just lost. On to Riverdale Vintner. What a way to run a business. Unbelievably rude. Unsafe.

They do not know who to run a business. Certainly not wines. Also, don't bother to call. They refuse to answer the telephone.

I go here out of convence and that's it. It's not a clean place. The owners or people running the place are not nice at all. I ask questions and they ignore me. How can you have a business and you just stare at people as they browse your products and when the customer asks a question you look away and ignore them and act busy. How do they stay open and profit if they have that kind of attitude?! I rather go to the liquor store @231st/Broadway they're nice and answer questions. If I had unlimited funds I would love to take over this place and turn it into a decent clean liquor store with a friendly vibe where you want to buy products.
