Positively surprised about the place , was in for business close by and this was great, despite q fir alarm and a crazy storm. The front desk staff Crystal was very pleasant and everything went well.The gym had plenty of equipment for about 8 people to work out at the same time.Towels and hot/cold filtered water station big mirror joga mats and tv.However found some maintenance needed on some equipment and the perfect push up is broken. Please replace.Rooms: The rooms are very nice and recently renovated.My room however needed some high dusting , dirty AC vent.Light fixture in cabinet dangling down.TV is smallWalkability: If you are good in any Hood and you have stuff to do like me in the Bronx , walkability is excellent. Shopping street close by with Burlington, Chipotle & many others.Food & drinks: Breakfast was standard American continental, aka nothing special but plenty available, and a good coffee machine. And hey it's in the price included, hot coco and coffee even 24/7.I did not see eggs but they had fresh fruit and fruit salad.

So the area is not the best! However when you go inside the hotel you forget you’re in the Bronx. The staff is friendly , hotel is very clean , free breakfast, and nice modern room with a comfortable bed. Checkout is at 12 which is great !! If you want to do early check in the charge $55 price per night for my stay on a Saturday $250 plus my early check in fee

The Opera House Hotel is a great place to stay when visiting NYC. The rooms are large and comfortable, and they have an excellent free breakfast buffet. It is just a quick 5 minute walk to the nearest subway station.

Honestly this is a hidden gem of a hotel. Everything is sparkling clean, the rooms are large and have everything you need including fridge, microwave, safe. There's an awesome coffee machine that makes tasty coffee drinks on the mezz floor for free. The neighborhood isn't the cleanest but like...it's New York...nothing here is clean ? will def stay here again!

I stayed here December of last year for an event I was going to and while I forgot the ladies names I must say the service was impeccable. The hosts went above and beyond. My friend cancelled last minute when it came to coming and the gown I was wearing to the event was a bit difficult to zippen up. These lovely ladies helped me out with making sure I was secure in my dress when they didn’t have to! That was so far out of their job description but they helped me out and made me feel so beautiful giving compliments and straightening out the back for me. I was so hesitant to ask for help but they truly truly saved me that night.Food & drinks: Some nice food spots near by & a bodega that’s open mad late right next door.

The location is a bit rough. Room was very spacious and it even had a sofa bed which was the biggest sofa bed i’ve ever seen. The staff was super friendly. The neighborhood was a bit rough, mainly at night, but the hotel is close to the subway station ?

I am a female travelling alone and recently stayed for 9 nights.+ good proximity to subway station+ nice clean rooms with AC, fridge, microwave, safe, TV and comfy beds+ free WiFi+ attentive and friendly staff+ house keeping including linen change every other day+ vending machine with beverages and a few snacks+ free coffee, tea and hot chocolade 24/7- rough and dirty neighborhood (I never got into any trouble though). I still recommend not going outside after dark- a few dusty spots in the room, but nothing too crazy- breakfast is very much on the sweet side, could use a few more savory choices other than just cream cheese and eggs- rooms can be quite noisy. I had a room on the back side of the building, but unfortunately a power generator was situated right in front of my window on the other roof. AC is also very loud, but can simply be turned off at night. Had to unplug the fridge because of the noise and the bathroom fan was also going night and day. Definitely bring ear plugs.I would definitely stay here again, because I was mostly very happy with the room and the easy access to the subway system and the price is really good for NYC!

Hidden gem in the Bronx. Very clean hotel but location is suspect. Be aware of your surroundings and you’ll be ok. There were two “zombies” right at the entrance when I arrived but that’s a problem across the entire city. Staff was beyond friendly.

The staff here are wonderful. The location is a little rough though. I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable walking around here at night.

The Opera House Hotel was absolutely fantastic!Although I arrived at the hotel around 11pm, Abdul promptly checked me in and answered all of my questions to perfection!The area of The Bronx in which the Opera House Hotel is situated may not be for all tourists but I absolutely loved it. The locals were very helpful, I felt safe, and it was very close to the subway stations.In addition, the breakfast offered by the hotel was great and I found the decor throughout the hotel rather fitting.Personally, I highly recommend the Opera House Hotel and I intend to stay there again the next time I visit NYC.

Beautiful hotel, very clean. The Consierge/Receptionist was professional and knowledgeable about the city. The room was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was delicious. The Location, unfortunately, is terrible. Shame ?
