I came into the Crosby Avenue Branch recently, inquiring about opening up a Checking Account.I walked into the bank and was greeted with a warm welcome and assisted me with whatever questions I had with opening a new account.The staff was very professional and provided me with excellent customer service.I definitely recommend this branch with all your banking needs.

? Disappointing Experience at Ridgewood Bank - Crosby Branch ?Today, July 11, 2023, I was searching nearby banks for opening a new business account for PS 071, the new PTA board. Unfortunately, my experience at this branch left much to be desired.Upon entering the bank, I was surprised to find it completely empty. Nevertheless, I approached an idle customer service representative and requested assistance with opening a new business account. Little did I know that this encounter would only add to my disappointment.After he walked back and forth delivering questions and answers, I patiently waited hoping for some assistance, but all I received was unresponsiveness, inexperienced and an incompetent customer service rep whom told me they were too busy to answer my inquiries.It's disheartening to see Ridgewood Bank on Crosby Ave prioritize their "idle time" over the needs of potential customers.How can a bank with no customers be too busy to answer general questions about opening a new "Business" account?Transparency is important to me, which is why I feel compelled to warn my fellow residents and business owners of Pelham Bay Park about my negative experience. I will be leaving a detailed review to ensure others are aware of what they might encounter if they consider banking with Ridgewood Bank - Crosby Branch.If a bank cannot handle basic inquiries and provide satisfactory customer service, how can they be trusted with more complex financial matters?This is a red flag that should not be ignored. I, for one, will not be recommending Ridgewood Bank - Crosby Branch to my friends nor family.Let's hope that Ridgewood Bank takes note of these concerns and makes the necessary improvements to prioritize their customers' needs. I went today with my sister about 1:20pm to open a new accnt. There was a female representative by the entrance area. She didn’t greet us or nothing. We told her we want to open an account. Without introducing herself, she’s asking us if we have 2 pieces of ID, credit card and $25. I was confused and lost why she even asking us for all this when we haven’t set in an office or go over their options. I felt so discriminated and told her I have my American passport and why you asking us for ID when I don’t know who you are and your different types of checking or saving accnt but you telling me about $25. As I got upset and felt like she didn’t need my business, I walked out and told her I’m taking my business somewhere else. As we were leaving she’s like I’m not being rude but how can you not be rude when you didn’t greet us or take us into a office and go over your options. I’m not sure maybe she saw my brown skin on my face, but I felt totally discriminated. If the branch manager take a look at their camera’s, they can see what happened. I would never go and will never refer anyone to this bank. Awful services

I love the Crosby branch. My home branch is closer but this branch is more convenient. The staff is AMAZING! They are pleasant, courteous, and professional and always provide great customer service
