This is the worst pharmacy I've ever used. I sent a refill here, and the prescription was out of stock for over a week. No updates. I tried calling but no one ever answers the phone. I went in person and they constantly lied about when it would be ready. I finally transferred the order somewhere else. This experience was frustrating for no reason!
Do NOT send your prescriptions here. I would give zero stars if I could. The employees here don't care.

Unbelievable on hold for 50 mins someone picked up then hung up the phone. I decided to call back since they sent a text stating there was a delay with my refill. As I type I’ve been on hold for over an hour.
Suggestion maybe hire more staff. This community deserves better

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Poor Service and Unprofessional Management – Walgreens Store #17499
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the experience I had at Walgreens Store #17499, located at 691 Co-op City Blvd., Bronx, NY 10475. The level of customer service at this location is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the Walgreens brand.
During my visit, I encountered several issues that disrupted what should have been a simple shopping trip. Many items were locked behind glass, and although I pressed the call button multiple times, no one responded promptly. After a long wait, an employee finally came but was visibly irritated and unhelpful.
What stood out the most — and what I find entirely unacceptable — was the disrespectful behavior of the store’s management. When I voiced my concern about the poor service and long wait times, the manager responded with a dismissive attitude and a condescending tone. Instead of listening to my feedback or offering any kind of apology or resolution, I was made to feel like I was being a nuisance. There was no professionalism, no courtesy, and certainly no effort to correct the situation.
This kind of treatment is not only unprofessional — it’s offensive. Customers should never be made to feel disrespected or unwelcome, especially by those in leadership roles. It’s clear this location suffers from a lack of proper training, accountability, and basic customer service standards.
I urge Walgreens corporate to investigate this location and take corrective action immediately. I will not be returning to this store and will be reconsidering my loyalty to Walgreens overall if this is the standard you allow at your stores.

⭐ 1 Star (If I could give zero, I would)
This Walgreens is hands down the worst pharmacy and retail location I’ve ever stepped foot in. Store #17499 at 691 Co-op City Blvd should be shut down or completely re-staffed. The employees are beyond unprofessional — rude, dismissive, and act like customers are a burden instead of the reason they have a job.
The pharmacy is an absolute disaster. Prescriptions are never ready on time, even when you get a confirmation text. You show up and they act clueless or claim it’s still “processing.” I’ve waited over an HOUR for a simple refill, only to be told to come back the next day. The lines are always long, and half the staff just stands around avoiding eye contact.
The front of the store is no better — shelves are half-stocked, filthy floors, expired products, and good luck getting help finding anything. Everything is locked up behind glass, but pressing the call button is like sending a message into outer space. Nobody comes. If someone does, they take their sweet time and act like you’re bothering them.
This place is a trip hazard, health hazard, and stress hazard all in one. Walgreens corporate should be ashamed to have their name on this dump. Save yourself the time, the headache, and your sanity — go to literally ANY other pharmacy.

They need more staff. The wait is ALWAYS long. Sometimes I meet nice staff sometimes they are belligerent.

So over this pharmacy. Will be sending ALL of my prescriptions for my family to another pharmacy. The pharmacy hours seem to change frequently and you only learn about them when you’re coming in to pick up your meds. Google maps shows they’re open all week, and doesn’t show store open on Sundays but pharmacy is closed all day. That needs to be updated. The pharmacy employees are always friendly but the structure of their systems sucks. Store employees are eh.

The pharmacy was grossly understaffed. One pharmacist and one clerk on a Saturday afternoon. The clerk was very professional. There was a very very long wait. This is totally a management issue. Avoid at all cost.

I now only come here if I'm buying water and/or snacks. Everything else is locked up, pretty much. I don't even waste my time trying to get someone to unlock products, they take forever even when the store is empty. Customer service is abysmal. Will not be surprised if this location closes soon. Sad.

The worse store service. Hot (which affects product quality such as chocolates); understaffed; staff that is there, lack training/knowledge and a PLEASANT attitude. Low stock (cosmetics aisle) looks like they are going out of business. Overpriced. No security (I was there during a robbery in 2021 on a Saturday morning, during lockdown). Have only seen district or general manager there on TWO occasions (naturally, on opening day) otherwise call them "Casper". Limit refund amounts.

The staff at this pharmacy is unbelievablely rude and unprofessional. The older latina woman at the pharmacy literally walked away twice while I was speaking to her. No excuse or one second, she just straight up walked away. Be better Walgreens.

Staff always very friendly and helpful.
