I Highly recommend this facility. It is so clean and sanitized. The workers are very friendly and helped me throughout the entire process. Even on the day of the funeral when your mind is focused on your loved one. I felt my father was in good hands. Thank you Montera team !

I am writing this review almost 6 months after the passing of my dad. The reason for this is because I wanted to make sure I wasn't writing a review based on fresh emotions while dealing with grief. I wanted to wait to see if I still felt the same so I can give an honest review of my experience. I also read the other reviews to compare my experience to others and while the majority of them were positive, unfortunately mine was not as pleasant. First I would like to clarify that my first interaction with Mr. Montera senior was great. He was a doll over the phone when I reached out to come to pick up my Dad who passed in our home. He was empathetic, professional and pleasant. Additionally the young lady who answered the phone (overnight hours) was so sweet, helpful and professional. I wish I remembered her name. I would like to mention that they were accommodating when I wanted to switch out a religious portrait they had on the wall in the chapel, for one of my father. I appreciated that very much. Now fast forward to our meeting at the funeral home to make the arrangements where we spoke to the funeral director, Jessica. I am not sure if she was having a bad day, which is still no excuse but I felt like I was speaking to a robot. This woman had no empathy whatsoever nor did she have any emotion at all. Not once did she offer her condolences or even smile. Now I do not expect anyone to break into tears or feel sad for any of the families going through a death as it is a part of life and I am sure dealing with this on a daily basis these people are numb to the fact but the simplest kind words or even a smile is most definitely customary to say the least. My brother, fiancé and I kept glancing over at each other as if to confirm that we were all on the same page and kept waiting for some type of sensitivity to the matter but she never expressed any. While we asked questions, Jessica would either blankly stare at us or while we decided on a matter she would look into her book while tapping her pen. She even overcharged us for the urn we chose and added an additional fee for personalization when it clearly stated in the catalog that it came free. When I pointed it out she claimed the prices in the catalog weren't correct. My question is why are you presenting to me a catalog with prices that don't exist? She was so stoic and aloof and made the entire process all about money so much that it made the funeral home seem like a third-rate establishment. I understand they have to make their money, they are running a business at the end of the day and providing a service but it is all about the delivery and customer experience. I think they need to do an in-service with Jessica to help her develop her customer service skills. Because of this I don't think I could recommend them as I wouldn't want another family going through a difficult time to have to deal with insensitivity and greed. Kindness is free.

The Montera experience was something not expected during such a difficult time. Truly amazing people. They helped throughout every step and there were no surprises. It was not easy to stay focused at that time but everything turned out better than expected! The compassion and professionalism stand out above all. Thank you again!
