Van Cortlandt Park is the largest park in the five boroughs and offers a peaceful retreat for visitors. It features beautiful trails, handball courts, baseball and soccer fields, a skate park, and fitness stations, making it ideal for running, hiking, birding, and various sports activities. Many visitors appreciate the park's stunning scenery, especially during the fall when the colorful trees create a breathtaking backdrop. Although the park can get lively with high school sporting events, some note that cleanliness could be improved. The park is often overlooked by tourists, yet it provides a vibrant atmosphere and positive energy for those seeking outdoor enjoyment. Overall, Van Cortlandt Park is a great place for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
Been there since 10th grade especially peace and quiet away from my parents and sister when I was feeling stressed out since 10th grade during the time.
