Such a great place for a pharmacy, such a great pharmacist agents, but no one is paying attention to the customers that calls in, and this is all the time. I just spent 40 minutes on hold waiting for a pharmacist to pick up and help me with a simple question. I just played along as I had the time. But I could have driven there and make the line. Remind me again why do we have a Pharmacy phone hotline? Managers please pay attention!

The customer service on the phone is horrible. I called four times today to check on lidocaine spray. I was told hold on, they someone pick up the phone and hanged it up. The second time some did the same thing. The third time the same thing happened. The forth time the pharmacy rep who was nice transfer me to the front of the store. The female picked up the phone and was engaging in a person conversation, then she hung up. I would never shop at this store with that type of unprofessionalism. This is a pharmacy, they are suppose to help folks with their needs.

Don't not waste your time!! They never have anything in stock. Then when they do order it, it never arrives on time. I got every month for the same medication, and they NEVER have it. Go to a CVS.

The pharmacy staff here is literally incompetent or underfunded . I've been on 'hold' for over 2 hours trying to get my meds and they keep hanging up on me once the phone actually rings. Please fire everybodyyyy or hire more techs!!!!

My experience with this location is the worse. I can not find words to describe the inefficiency of the staff. I called to ask if my prescription was ready for pick up, and they said yes. When I showed I waited in very long line for another 35 minutes only to tell me that my prescription was not ready. I explained that I had call and they had informed me the the medicine was ready for pick up. She then told me that there was no more refills. I asked her why didn’t hey tell me that when I called, she told that she didn’t know why. I asked her to call the doctor’s office to request the refill authorization, she told me that they do not do that that I had to call the doctor. I then asked if they could provide my Mom with days supply of the pills until I get the authorization, she said she couldn’t do that. I know that that was not true because I have received a few days supply when I personally found myself in similar situation before. But this is not the only time that these pharmacy makes it very difficult for us to get my mom’s meds, this is an ongoing occurrences. In addition to be inefficient, they are very rude. It’s so sad and insensitive the way they treat their customers. They forget or do not care that these people are sick Manny with serious health issues. Instead of treating them with compassion, they make it very difficult for them to get the medication they need to alleviate their symptoms. Miriam

Walgreens in parkchester is the worst I wouldn't advise no one to go there. Not only was I on hold for an hour n a half on the phone I went there in person and I was on the line for the pharmacy for and hour just to pick up a prescription

Beautiful location; nice clean building . However the pharmacy at this location wants to run their own closing hours and closes earlier than usual compared to other Walgreens pharmacy. They will not attend to you even if you are inside. Closing at 5PM whenever they feel like it. Everyone is out to lunch in the pharmacy at the same time every day as well. That's bad for business

In the last six months Walgreens in Parkchester has taken to locking up everything from shampoo to make up to everyday household items. When you press the button for assistance you end up waiting an extremely long time despite the fact that there are always 2-3 associates restocking-They just never seem to have a key to unlock anything. Every time I need just one item I end up walking out in frustration because I can’t seem to ever get it unlocked. A quick trip to pick up a few items turns into a two hour event. I can’t imagine that the money Walgreens has lost in the past due to theft is worth the amount of customers currently lost to frustration.

It’s unfortunate that this is a neighborhood pharmacy and the security guard who had a gun on his side racially profiled my nephew and another Black lady for absolutely no reason. My 70+ mother, myself and my teenage Black nephew went there to get my moms medicine because she was in pain. As we were walking out the mentally unstable guard, rushed to the door and asked us if my nephew was with us. Is that a normal question ask when a customer is leaving a pharmacy? When I asked the guard my does that matter, he called me stupid and said we were thieves. We spoke to Avilyn the manager on duty and she did not care that we encountered a situation like this. Avilyn said the guard is sent from the Bronx 43rd precinct and she and another Walgreens worker seemed terrified of the guard, who seemed proud to show his gun. The guard proceeded to point in my face and wave his hands telling my mom get out the store and he doesn’t have to tell us or the manager who he is because he’s off duty. This person does not have the metal capacity or stability to carry a gun and his gun liscense should be revoked immediately. It’s very clear if I said my nephew wasn’t with me he was going to accuse him of stealing, just like he did the Black lady that left while we were walking to Walgreens. The Walgreens worker said to the guard with his hands up I didn’t see anything so I’m not going to say she took something. It’s clear this guard mentality is not for community safety it’s to put false information on Black Americans.

The pharmacy is horribly mismanaged. While the associates are kind and do what they can despite clear understaffing, the pharmacy management treats their customers like trash. Very unhelpful. We made the mistake of sending my husband's pain meds here after having his wisdom teeth out. They where unable to find the order, sent me on an endless goose hunt with my insurance, then closed up shop before I could even get off the phone. The manager was literally yelling at me-- she was shooing me out like a dog, before I could even get the information that I needed from the insurance.

The pharmacy staff is despicable. I called them more than seven times in one hour and they continuously hung up the phone and didn't answer the call at all. When I can clearly hear the conversations in the back as they pick up and proceeded to hang immediately it up. So I decided to go in person. Only to find that. It wasn't ready and I'd have to wait 30 minutes. When I asked why I'd have to wait, and why it wasn't ready; they proceeded to tell me that they just got it; which was a bold face lie. I proceeded to ask why they didn't answer the phone, or why they hung up the phone, and their response was silent. I advise you not use this or any other walgreens for your pharmacy needs because they're bound to jack it up.
