The pharmacy is always understaffed. There is always a line and it takes forever. On multiple occasions my doctor has changed my dosage of a medication and sent in a new prescription and they still fill an old one. After waiting on line for 40 minutes, I was then told that they can't fill my updated prescription that day because the pharmacist was too busy doing booster shots and flu shots. They also auto renew prescriptions even though I have that option turned off. They will then call constantly about how my medication is ready. I have insurance through my job. You'd think there would be a standard price you pay no matter where you go. For one generic drug they charged me around $24 for a 90 day supply. I switched to a closer pharmacy where I can only get 30 days at a time and they charged me $1.98! Every 90 days that's less than $6 total, Walgreens is charging 4X as much! I plan on moving the rest of my prescriptions to the independent pharmacy closer to my apartment. I would rather go every month, it still takes less time than one trip to Walgreens.

Every time I try to pick up meds, it takes a minimum of 30 minutes on the line. It does not seem to make a difference what time of the day. Also, everything g is locked up on the shelves, and there is no call button to get someone to assist. Places like these force me to order everything online.

Really zero stars. Avoid. Go to local independent pharmacy like Marble Hill Pharmacy. Store seems unable to hire or train or manage staff, probably because of corporate central. Especially horrid are photo & pharmacy department, with no consistent capacity to fulfill on-line sales or appointments. Photo staff just gives up, hides, or rudely rebuffs customers requesting resolution. Pharmacy simply makes you wait and wait or says "that's the fault of a third-party." Never an apology. It is almost comical but realize that clientele are sickly, elderly, over-worked Bronxites. Disastrous.

Do yourself a favor and go to Rite Aid on 238th st instead. Cleaner and better stocked.

This is the worst pharmacy. They never answer the phone, there is always a line and my regular prescription that I get regularly is always out of stock. These idiots wouldn't know customer service if it punched them in the face.

Corporate office needs to do something about this pharmacy, they need staff who wants to work and not just collect a paycheck, staff needs to leave their attitude aside, and the rudeness way of treating people who are waiting in line for hours to be told "your medication is not ready, you have to come back"The lines are insane and the staff at the pharmacy is hiding in the back and take their sweet time, bottom line they just don't care .One of the managers JEANNEY is the only one that kind of cares about the store and helps the pharmacy sometimes.

Went there over 5 year's ago, & it was whatever. Bought what I needed, but the employee's just seemed miserable. No niceness. No hello, how are you? & No have a good day. Looked miserable. Now I won't go at all because I see police right there when you go in. Who would want to go to a store that ends up looking like a prison? Not me. Walgreens in total all over have never been real good at all. Rather go to Rite Aid, or CVS.

There's almost no inventory, it's under-staffed, and all the items are under lock and key so you'll have to hunt for a staff member just to get a $2 basic necessity off the shelf. Total waste of time to shop here.

This review pertains to the Pharmaceutical Department. The pharmacy manager is Ebony Rhems. On February 3 2022 I called the pharmacy to inquire about a delay of my medication. To my astonishment I was put on hold for over 40 minutes. After they finally pickup the phone I communicated with a Rep. By the name of stafi. I asked the young lady about my status of my medication and why did it take 40 minutes to answer the call. She didn't give me a reasonable answer so I told her to have the pharmacy manager Ebony Rhems to give me a call back. I recieved the call from The pharmacy manager. I asked her what seems to be the problem at this Walgreens location that no one answers the calls. I talked to Ebony Rhems about this situation a week prior to this. The same thing happened. Her answer to me ( Ebony Rhems) goes as follow. She stated " I'm sorry that you feel that way. This was her answer. I told Pharmacy manager Ebony Rhems this is not the way to run a pharmacy people rely on their medications. This location has this problem. Now I will submit photo proof how long I waited before the Rep. Answered the phone. I called at 11:24 am. Then 40 minutes later they answered the call.

The female assistant of the pharmacist has an attitude. She wouldn’t even look at me when talking and the tone of her voice is rude. And the employees at the sales floor don’t wear masks. Go to RateAid a few blocks away. They are nicer and all have masks on.
