hands down the worst walgreens to exist in the bronx long lines and no workers on registers. 5 min trip will turn into a 30+ min stint. the manager does nothing about the situation and disappears at an instant. not customer friendly and shelves are often empty. they need a corporate visit. like the marshalls down the street.

I had a terrible experience at the Walgreens Photo Center at Parkchester (Metropolitan Ave, Bronx, NY) on February 19, 2025. Despite receiving email and text confirmations that my online order was ready, I waited over 20 minutes in line, only to be told my prints weren’t available.
When I finally received them, the quality was awful—blurry with smeared ink. I politely asked for a reprint, explaining that my uploaded photos were high-resolution, but the staff and manager were dismissive, rude, and condescending. Instead of addressing the clear printer issue, they gaslighted me by insisting my photos were low quality and refused to help.
I went ahead and placed a new order using the SAME exact photos, and this time they printed in perfect HD clarity—proving that the issue was with their printer all along, not my images. Yet I was forced to waste over an hour at the store and spend more money when the manager could have simply reprinted them in good faith.
If the staff at this location is going to be annoyed by photo-related questions, Walgreens shouldn’t offer photo printing services here. Managers should also be equipped to resolve printer issues rather than blaming customers. I left feeling humiliated and frustrated. If you need photo prints, I highly recommend going elsewhere!

Terribly , disappointed about this store , I ordered online around 15 items and I just received it 2 items …..
I order one bottle of water but it looks that pharmacy didn’t have it. Or the lazy people didn’t want to pack it.

I paid 10 dollars for a Roblox gift card and the card was one of those were you could pick the amount between 10-100 and I told the cashier for it to be 10 there was no money in the card when I tried to redeem the code I wasted 10 dollars

I feel so badly for the staff at this store. They are severely understaffed. The pharmacy often has an 5+ person line and one staff member working behind the counter. This is the last time I shop here. I’m going to go to the mom and pop pharmacy down the road. I’ve never had to wait there. Walgreens, hire more staff, your customer experience is suffering b/c you are overworking your staff,

I ordered pictures online and here for pick up. Lady at the counter says I still have to be in the regular line to pick up because the PICK UP counter is ONLY for the items bought online. Make it make sense.

I had quite an experience at Walgreens in Parkchester that I believe could be improved. I waited about 20 minutes in line before reaching the registers, which can be quite frustrating for customers. I noticed that Francesca at the register and manager Alana seemed to be struggling with customer interactions, which might be linked to their job satisfaction. They both were very rude to my husband. If Francesca and Alana hate the job they apply and interview for then they both should find another job that makes them happy.
Additionally, I learned that they do not price-match items according to the website, which was disappointing. When I reached out to customer service for clarification on this policy, I was told that they do price match their website.

The store has been closed weeks allegedly because of an electrical issue. I am worried it’s something worst that is going to lead the store to closing permanently since they have not been able to fix the problem in almost 2 weeks now. This will be devastating to parkchester that has already lost so many stores since 2020 already. I go to this store for many things and my life has been greatly inconvenienced since the store has been closed weeks now.

This place always had long lines but that’s not the problem. Now it’s a hot spot for mental illness and homeless to harass you for money. Or on several occasions people stealing and being aggressive about it. On top of that I don’t know if it’s new management but some of the new employees are rude. This new lock down of items makes the shopping experience a drag. The store is empty of products at times. That bell never works for assistance you’re better off trying to find somebody.
Update It’s crazy to see they have kids volunteering with more respect.

First of all they are the worst and slowest pharmacists You can ever Deal with.Theyre extremely unreliable,I was prescribed two pills and one cream.i arrived 15 minutes before closing time.I really needed those medications since I was in extreme discomfort.I was only handed two pills and no cream and when I asked about the cream,they told me it wasn’t in the system,to just buy it OTC.I then called the Doctor’s office to confirm but the Doctor was out for the Day,So Now I’m stuck to deal with this extreme discomfort.I then asked the lady to help me find it OTC,She walked off I assumed to help me find it and I realized she was leaving,I asked another pharmacist and he rushed me out and said sorry we’re closed.So Now I’m with Tears in my eyes,in extreme discomfort .I had to go home that way.Then I looked at my results and my cream was prescribed to them..So I had to come back make a really long line just to pick up the part they forgot to give me.I really needed my meds and they were in such a rush to go home that they didn’t even care..!

Horrible pharmacy. They are rude, inconsiderate, disrespectful and down right nasty. Every month when I have to get my prescription (the only pharmacy that seems to carry it), I cringe and wait to see what will be my next negative experience.
The pharmacist actually told a patient who had JUST LEFT THE URGENT CARE, that he didn't care that the kid was in pain, he was filling his prescription. Then came out from the back to fight the patient??? That was the pharmacist, last month on 3/18/24.
If I was not basically forced to go there, I would not. Please, please do yourself a favor and avoid this location for your own piece of mind.
I'd rather cut off my nose to spite my face then deal with them.sometimes.
