I added photos for clarity. Always the positive first. They adhere to the set appointment time. The place has the standard covid separation installed. The woman who did my pedicure was efficient. And now the truth. I requested a coffin shape and she (Mel in my head) proceeded to cut the sides and round the top. I Googled a standard nail shape poster to help her correct it. The nails are not smooth, they're misshapen, some square, some round, some both on the same nail. The nails required 3 coats. Some got 2, some got 3 and the difference is evident. The sides and tips of the nails weren't all painted and the white is showing. I put 2 hours on the meter and got a ticket because it took almost 3 hours (not including my 10 min delay). 4 days later the polish on my pedicure is chipped on several nails. The price is 3x the average and it wasn't worth it, as I hoped it would.Covid 19 regulations: I wasn't given access to a sink to wash my hands. My temperature was taken under the air from the ac.The bowl was cleaned but the seat wasn't. (Pedicure station)

I truly wanted to give this place a decent rating. I wanted to treat myself as I was finally out of work early one evening. However, after my first and last visit I cannot lie about the experience. I called before going in and the woman told me to come as it wasn't busy. I get there and there are two workers, once doing a pedicure while the other was sitting at a desk. I told her I called and she was like oh okay sit and looked confused...I'm like umm let me pick a color she says ok ok go. Usually when you ask for a pedicure and manicure they would start with the pedicure. However, it seemed as if she wanted the other woman to do my pedicure. She tells me she will start my manicure and the process was literally less than 15 minutes. I'm sorry, but if you are paying for a service I don't think they should rush it especially if the entire place is empty with the exception of 1 customer. I told her I would like my cuticles cut and she completely ignored and did a basic clipping of my nails. Another customer walks in and she went even faster trying to accommodate the woman waiting. Then, she takes her time working on the woman after me who came in for a gel manicure. I then noticed that she was one of the owners of the place as her photo was on a license behind the cashier area. I waited probably 15 more minutes for the woman to finish the pedicure of the other customer and she then ran to me doing a callus removal which I paid for and my feet feel hard and cracked even more than before. Overall I wished that I would've loved the experience as I usually pay the same if not less in the city and I get quality work done. This place rushes you and charges you higher than normal rates. It's been 4 days and my nails are chipped and peeling off. I left the owner and pedicurist a decent tip as I am just a generous person who overall understands the working man/woman. However, I am highly disappointed and most likely will never return.

Newly renovated nail salon right on New Rochelle Road. The owner is knowledgeable, clean and professional. She's been a nail technician for 28 years & at this location for 22 years so she's definitely a staple in that neighborhood.
