Never had a bad experience here. The only negative is that their menu can seem limited (to picky eaters). Excellent carrot cake for

We have been loyal customers of Rosie’s for many years. On two recent visits we were sitting next to two foul mouthed customers who were talking loudly and dropping f bombs throughout their meal, making for an unpleasant experience. The food that is served in small portions and sold at high prices. If you think you will be satiated with one dish, trust me you won’t. You will go home hungry and you’re not getting your money’s worth. The waiters are great but that doesn’t atone for the inadequate portions that you are served. We won’t be returning. Please don’t write back with any lame excuses trying to justify an experience that has become too commonplace at your bistro. Every time we go, the portions are getting smaller and smaller.

This restaurant, homey and inviting, has delicious Italian food worthy of least a three star establishment in New York City. In the case of the veal dishes, I would rate Rosies a 4 star restaurant. The tomato sauce is also superb, more nuanced in flavor, with hints of wine and garlic, so that every possible pasta is enhanced enormously. The specialties are often creative and delicious, but I prefer the originals, which this establishment creates with care and pride. The fish is fresh and well made, the meat is tender and juicy, the pasta is neither hard nor flimsy, the wine is great--cheap or expensive--the desserts are lucious, if one can fit more in the stomach after the cornacopia already sampled. My family and friends are so grateful to have an establishment near our home, vs in. NYC, where we often have to shlepp to get the level of cuisine and service that we hope for. A warm, inviting, yet unpretentious establishment with food that is out of this world!

I am so sad to write this review, because I love the food and have never had a problem. I was dining here and suddenly glass plates were shattered next to me, resulting in sauce getting all over my pants and jacket. I work with kids, I'm used to messes being made and am very aware of accidents. No glass hurt anyone, thankfully. The workers were very apologetic but once it was time for the bill, not one item - even a drink- was taken off the bill. I hate to expect certain things from restaurants but the clear hospitable thing to have been done is to comp at least on item, if not the whole bill. But don't worry - they offered only to pay for my dry cleaning. This has put a bad taste in my mouth about the service and hospitality and I will not be returning to dine here.

We have been going to this restaurant 10+ years and love their food, service and ambience. The best chef!!!!Parking: Meter parking during the day. Free parking at night. Sometimes we have to park quite a distance from the restaurant after 7PM.
