Great tailor for military uniforms. They know all the right placements. The prices are also reasonable. I'm thinking of using them for my civilian clothing too even though I live in Manhattan. Worth the trip.

Love these guys - experts in uniform tailoring especially military & class A designs. In addition, they provide Embiordery services which puts them above the competition. My only gripe with them is they don’t make an effort to remember your name (more of a personal issue). It truly gets annoying to repeat who you are, phone number especially after making at least 1 visit a week! Regardless 5 stars for the service!

I have been going to the 99th Street cleaners for over 20 years. I am now stationed all the way out at Fort Dix in New Jersey and would rather pay the tolls going both way just to have my military and civilian clothes dry cleaned and tailored there then the hacks around the installation. Everyone that has complained about this business are full of it. They have been serving the community and its military service members with loyalty and integrity for decades. Period.Services: Clothes pressing

99th Street Cleaners ruined about $1000 of my work and dress clothes. In late September I brought them $250 worth of brand new, Old Navy, straight fit pants that I intended to wear for work. Casual pants that I would wash cold and hang to dry to not shrink. I expressed to one of the owners and younger brother (I believe) that these were non iron pants and I brought them to the “dry” cleaners because I did not want them to shrink. He assured me that there would be no problem. I was told they use a new “wet” cleaning process and very little heat would be applied. I wore one pair and noticed that they were fitting a lot tighter than I remember. I have been wearing this brand and fit for over a decade and they were never this tight. To be honest I did not try them on new, so I chalked it up to maybe Old Navy changed up the style. Now it was time for plan b. I decided to go with my tried and true dress clothes. Wool and pleated with plenty of room. At least they were until I had them cleaned by 99th Street Cleaners. They shrunk all of my good pants and let me not forget my shirts. About $700 worth. Mind blown and quite upset, I went to them to figure out the problem. Me being me, I did some research and found out that this can happen and how to fix it. I went to them after work wearing pants that use to be comfortable and now were clearly too short and shrunk all around. The younger brother immediately got defensive and proceeded to question how I wear my pants while he is pulling my shirt up, putting his fingers down my waist, and telling me I am wearing them to tight. Feeling degraded while the older brother and their worker were getting a kick out of my embarrassment, I was assured they would fix the problem.I went back 4 times, paying while they continued to destroy my clothes, claiming that they will fix the problem. I finally pulled the plug and went up the block.Be warned! They will ruin your clothes and laugh at you while they take your money. Family business = Incompetent morons

My parents and I used to own a laundromat and dry cleaners in Astoria which means I am pretty picky with where I take my dry cleaning. I moved into Brooklyn 7 years ago and up until a few months ago, I would continue taking my DC here. Luckily someone suggested this cleaners to me and I am VERY happy. I love the fact that they are super simple and they don’t have fancy “fluff” like paper covers and tissue paper. Honestly all that “fluff” is unnecessary, wasteful, and doesn’t help the environment. Their prices are VERY reasonable and the job that they do is excellent. Its a little bit of a trek for me but its 100% worth it. The two males which I assume are the owners are super friendly. The place looks clean in the front and very organized. My only annoyance is that they have a minimum for a credit card but I just pay for my pick up and drop off if I see that the item I am dropping off is less than the minimum.
