Had a pair of 2001 Prada slingbacks that were in horrible condition but they’re one of a kind. Day of departure for an upcoming trip I brought them to Alex and he not only fixed them in hours but a very fair price and they look brand new <3 Alex is legit and fun to work with. Thanks again - will be back! X

We need to ensure Alex’s business thrives! He’s done amazing work for me and my boot collection. I go to him for anything regarding shoes and general leather questions. He is a true craftsman and has years of experience to back it up. Not to mention he can turn projects around super quickly. If you need anything regarding shoe repair, upkeep, or even leather work he can do it.

If you have any ounce of respect for your shoes, belts, leather goods, do not bring them to Alex’s on grand street. I thought this place was supposed to be good based on previous reviews, but it turns out that the owner himself is a nasty, careless, man who takes no responsibility for his own mistakes. “Not my fault, not my problem” he said to me after spilling some sort of stain all over my cream suede shoe. I brought these in for a protective sole, no stain needed. Who’s fault is it then?? New unworn $300 shoes + the $40 he charged me before handing me back his final product. After insisting I AT LEAST get the $40 back for his hack job, he told me no refunds and to get out. He is absolutely shameless, and clearly has no pride in his work, business, or image. Do yourself a favor and save your shoes and your money. Go somewhere else.

This owner is a crook and a criminal. He completely destroyed my new, unworn shoes, because he was sloppy and refused to take responsibility for his mistake. When I asked for the $40 back that he charged me, since he refused to replace the shoes, he told me to get out and not come back. I am absolutely gutted. I thought I was going to the best, turns out he was the worst. Incredibly nasty old man, who has no respect for his customers. Do not go here. If I could rate him zero stars, I would.

This is literally the shoe repair store from hell. Alex is incredibly nasty, and refused to take responsibility when he made a mistake on my BRAND NEW SHOES. They are destroyed. Unwearable. And when I asked that I get my money back for what should have been just a resole, he told me to get out and never come back. DO NOT GO HERE l, you will regret it.
