I brought in a battery that wasn’t working, and it was out of warranty a few weeks ago. The cashier was on his phone on FaceTime, smelled of alcohol, and had a terrible attitude. A lady offered to charge it, but when I picked it up, a different employee handed it to me, threw aside the receipt, and said it was charged and good to go. When I checked the paper, it said "BAD" and the battery wouldn't start my car, he then just said “Ooops”’. I ended up going to interstate to buy a new one.

Went there to buy battery and have it installed. Walked in, store empty of customers. Two employees behind counter, asked if they can install battery with purchase. They said no. I called the autozone at 86th street and 14th Ave., the clerk who answered said yes. This store at Hart place was not interest at all in helping customers. Typical retail employees who feel you are bothering them from lounging around.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this AutoZone location. I purchased a car battery two months ago, which came with a warranty. When the battery stopped working, I brought it back to the store, expecting them to honor the warranty. Instead, I was treated very poorly.
The employee (who claimed to be the manager) was unprofessional and dismissive. After making me wait over an hour, he falsely claimed the battery was fine and insisted the issue was with my vehicle. I trusted his word, only to later confirm with my mechanic that the battery was indeed defective. This caused me to waste time, money, and effort transporting the battery back and forth. The employee's attitude and the poor service I received were unacceptable. Customers should not be treated this way, especially when they’re seeking help with a product under warranty.
I hope management looks into this and ensures no one else has to go through such a frustrating experience. I will fill complaint Better Business Bureau and AutoZone customer page

I brought a vacuum cleaner for my car from AutoZone online. I picked up the vacuum cleaner At the AutoZone on Hart Place in Brooklyn New York. When I opened up the box, I saw the cord on the vacuum was for a wall outlet. So I went to return the vacuum back to AutoZone and told him I want a refund. He told me that I needed the receipt. I had no receipt because I brought it online so I called up corporate and told him I needed a copy of my receipt so I can The vacuum. When I return with the vacuum and the receipt, they looked in the box and said that there were pieces missing. I spent like 15 minutes arguing with the guy at I only opened up the box and saw the Cord and I did not touch anything else. I told him Everything was in the box. I did not take anything out of the box. I just opened up the top part of the box saw that it was not the right Cord that I Wanted the vacuum cleaner with the cigarette lighter cord not the wall outlet cord I spoke to the manager there. He said he heard everything I said to the counter person that didn’t want to refund me or let me exchange it for the vacuum cleaner with the cigarette lighter Cord. I called The AutoZone corporate office, and they just took my statement and said that someone will contact me. I believe the car vacuum cleaner that they sent me had missing parts and because I didn’t check the box for all the pieces right in front of them. They are trying to get away with not giving me my refund because of missing pieces. I will never shop at AutoZone again this was a horrible experience and the people at the AutoZone on hart place on Cropsey Avenue in Brooklyn didn’t care!

Great store but very little help for what you looking for ! Staff needs real training, can't ask for anything they never seen before. Example: ask for a oil filter they all say it's in line 3 ?
