DO NOT OPEN ANY BUSINESS ACCOUNT AT THIS CREDIT UNION. Your money isn't protected! I had both my personal and business debit cards stolen out of the mail and accessed without the secret pin envelopes that were mailed separately. The bank's security auto-fraud alerted me to a suspicious purchase after $1000s of transaction had already taken place. After filing a police report, and escalating to every department in the coop, the coop still refused to reimburse me the money stolen from my business account, and credited me only my personal debit loss, even when there was clear evidence that money from both of my debit cards was taken from the same ATM at the same time and the criminal investigation is still open. I'm exceedingly frustrated and saddened that I'm needing to write this review. I've been a coop member for over 10 years and have been helped immensely over the years but cannot accept the quality of service in response to my claim when I've received such great care in times past. My only recourse now, besides a law suit, has been to withdraw my money and write a negative review in order to warn others not to open a business account there since business accounts don't afford the same protections as individual consumers. BE WARNED! On 5/24/22 4 months after the initial theft, and escalating my dispute through every rank, Asta Cummings, Cathie Nieves, Samira Rajan, and Rebecca Pear who then finally told me that I needed to speak to Paula, on the supervisory committee. I was informed by her, that her review of the matter still did not evince that the bank was in noncompliance with both internal policies and banking regulations in handling my case and that Federal banking Regulation E protects consumers from electronic funds theft but Regulation E does not cover business accounts; therefore, the credit union is not required to provide credit for the lost funds.I have not had the time or the energy to address this kind of injustice. She literally, gave me no assurance that if my business card was stolen again or mailed and stolen again with illicit purchases, that I would have any protections!I certainly cannot be at fault for requesting bank cards to be delivered the only way I was told was available. I did not receive the cards and honestly cannot believe this is my liability. I believe the fault lies with the coop or it's 3rd party vendor that issued the card as either already active or the coop couldn't protect against someone who feigned themselves as me and/or bypassed the security measures. If someone were to come in and rob the bank would my business not be protected? The logic of crediting my personal account for the stolen funds but not my business when both debit cards were stolen at the same time doesn't add up. I grant the consumer protection law allows my personal account to be credited but i don't believe that is the sole reason any bank would want to do so. It's because there's an ethical reason to do it not only for one account but for both. Anything less, honestly isn't just. Every bank, police officer and person I've spoken to about this matter, have all said this shouldn't have been a difficult issue. BE WARNED

We have an auto loan and are refinancing elsewhere because every time I reach out to Brooklyn Cooperative Federal Credit Union for something, they are always very rude and short on the phone. I work in customer service and value the importance of being respected on the phone, not laughed at for an error that turned out to be through another Brooklyn Cooperative Federal Credit Union employee.

From my personal experience I can tell you that Mrs Rachel wacker is one of the best binary options/forex managers I have met in a while. I had lost over $3000 on the advice of managers who have little to no experience. Today I remain grateful to Mrs Rachel wacker for putting me through during my early days of trials and errors.

I never thought a bank was something to feel warm and fuzzy about. I had BofA for years for convenience, but when I realized how deeply that conflicted with my values I switched to BCOOP. I immediately notice a difference. They are eager to help with anything you need, over the phone or in person. Bankers that care about you like fellow members of the community. And as a part of the co-op ATM network, there are ATMs you can access for free literally everywhere - more than with the big banks. They offer mobile banking and mobile check deposits as well. We have the power to keep money in our communities and divest from the Wall Street moguls that further wealth inequality in this country. Switch to a coop!

I had an account with them for a short while. It really irritates me how these banks call themselves a coop but they act more like cold banking institutions. I can easily open accounts with way more convenient banking. Anyway I had several times where the lack of care exceeded my expectations. This is Brookyln. And members of the community who CHOOSE to put their money here should at least have a functioning bank with warmer experience. The COVID hours have been extremely inconsiderate to working families. The rude manager even more inconsiderate of working families. She said if I don’t like the hours come earlier. Before I spent time and money coming into the branch I called verified I could get a blank cashiers check. I get there and I’m told I can’t. When I closed my account the rude manager didn’t show me any reason to stay. Her cold stare just solidified my reason to close. On two other occasions I tried to visit and they was closed. Their mobile site wasn’t updated with info such as being closed Wednesday & the Saturday of Memorial Day. When I called they literally argued that I was wrong until finally they verified I was right. The mobile site wasn’t updated. Their mobile app is seriously behind in banking like my other coop I bank with. And the fees are nothing to be excited about. Costs me $25 for every application when my other coop $5. This is not a coop nor are they in the network of NYC coops. This is not liberating the Black community. Bank small but not here. I went to Carver bank and got the checks I was looking for with more convenient banking.
