I recently moved to the area and was looking for my new "go-to" laundromat close by. Found Bk Sudz via a Google search and loved its clean, modern look and its glowing reviews. I arrived at approx. 550pm and it was empty. Upon walking in, the attendant said they closed at 7pm, I said "ok". While getting my wash card I noticed a sign that said the last wash was at 6pm, so I figured I made it just in time. I had 3 large bags of laundry and used 5 washers. During this time, the attendant was walking up and down the hall doing various things so I assume she noticed how much laundry I had and how many machines I used. By 625pm most of the laundry was ready to be moved to the dryer. I again used about 4-5 machines. At approx 702pm the attendant told me they were closed and I had to leave. I told her my clothes were still drying and I had upwards of 20+ minutes on most of the machines. She told me I could leave my clothes there to dry and come back the following morning to get them. I told her no, due to my work uniform being amongst those to dry and me being a federal officer I cannot leave them unattended. I also told her I didn't want my clothes to not fully dry and then end up sitting overnight and having that nasty mildew smell. She pointed to other machines and said "I leaving clothes, no smell, no problem." YES, if you do drop off service, they might leave your clothes in the washer or dryer overnight because they just HAVE TO LEAVE AT 7PM.
I think the major issue was the lack of communication and understanding. How do you expect someone to finish 5 loads of laundry in one hour??? This isn't the way business should be conducted when someone is paying a lot of money. I spent over $40 and didn't even get to use the dryer for the amount of time I paid for. This place isn't cheap, $0.55 for 8 minutes for the small dryer and $1.00 for 8 minutes for the big dryer. In the end, I just decided to leave and take my wet clothes with me. Never coming back here.

SO convenient and reasonably priced! I had to drop off and pick up my laundry same day and they were able to fit me in which I really appreciated. I thought the cost was very reasonable and would definitely bring my laundry back here in the future. They were also super nice :)

Overpriced and horrible service. One of the customers from the projects emptied her laundry basket into the washing machine not realizing that a mouse had gotten into the wash. She found it crispy when she emptied out the dryer.

The staff of Brooklyn Sudz are miracle workers!! I was literally doused in gas and thought my clothes were complete goners. After bringing them here, they smelled perfect and were the softest they’ve ever been. Thank you endlessly!!

Just use this service for the first time yesterday. I am staying at a local hotel that is close by to the laundromat and they came and picked up my laundry and had it back to me within 3 hours from the time I called. The price was unbelievably inexpensive and I don't know that I could have even done it for Less myself. The person who answered the phone in the morning was extremely kind and patient with me as I tried to look up the hotels address that I was in. She did not promise that she could get my laundry to me that day but did anyway in the end without me pressing her for it. The young lady who delivered my laundry was extremely kind and I almost felt guilty for having her have to carry it all the way over to me. Had I been feeling better I would have been happy to have gone and gotten it, but I was under the weather today. What a wonderful place I am sorry they have had some bad reviews that I read through and I'm sure that these people did indeed have a bad experience most likely. I on the other hand would like to let you know I had a wonderful experience and would not even hesitate for one second to use them again. I am super thankful you guys are there to help people who are out working on the road and don't have time to do their laundry. Take care God bless your business!Randy

This is the second time I've dropped off laundry for the wash & fold service. They charge extra for unscented detergent and to not use fabric softener. The first time, I thought my clothes came back smelling of cigarettes, but they'd mixed with clothes from my hotel, so I wasn't sure which it was, so I gave this business the benefit of the doubt and tried again. This time, they did use scented products, despite my request and paying extra for the unscented prodcuts. When I called to let them know, I was told that they keep scented fabric softener in the machines, which is probably how it happened. I requested a refund, which the manager said she would do tomorrow, and I asked if there were options to help me replace my clothes such as any insurance, since they already said the machines wouldn't be able to keep the scented products from being used on my clothes and rewashing them wouldn't make any sense, plus in my experience it doesn't really rinse out scented laundry products. At this point the manager raised her voice, insinuated that I was crazy. I never asked her to pay for new clothes, but did want to know what options were available to rectify the situation before ending the call. I don't live here and have limited time to coordinate my laundry being carted around Brooklyn or doing that myself, just so they can have more scented products infused in them, plus I still need to figure out how to get clothes for the week.Unfortunately, I can't recommend this business. The manager could have just said there was nothing else she could do, but raising her voice at me really just turned me off. Obviously I can't return here because they will charge extra for a service they cannot actually provide that I truly need, but I also wanted to let others know that as well. They'll charge you for it, not do it, then yell at you.

When I decided extend my NY visit by a couple of days, I realized that I *had to* do laundry. ;) My hotels laundry service was ridiculously overpriced, so I took my laundry bag (yes, I travel with a laundry bag, A+, recommend!) and walked over to Brooklyn Sudz. I picked up my clean and neatly folded clothes later that day. Super-easy, and a really good deal. I wanted to leave some tip, but I don't think there was a way to do that on their little Apple Pay machine. In any case, if I ever stay in that neighborhood again, I know a great place to do laundry. ;)

A great option to wash and dry things during your vacation in one hour at an affordable price.

My flight was cancelled and am not able to get home for a couple days, we’re staying right around the corner and I found this wonderful place on Apple Maps. The sweet lady at the front helped me navigate since you have to buy a separate laundry card to use on the machines. She was very helpful, highly recommend for any laundry service needed!

Honestly, I prefer this laundromat to the laundry room in my building! It's super clean, affordable, and is certainly a convenient location. It isn't the kind of place to bring a massive amount of laundry, because it's fairly small and there's nowhere to fold, but for a couple loads, air folding works fine.
