I’ve taken 4 classes now with Scott! Intro to jewelry casting, the soldering intensive, and advanced casting twice. I plan on taking gem setting in the future. Scott is a wonderful teacher and we always have a great time. We’ve been able to work on some really fun projects together outside of class and I try to make it to open studio as much as I can. It’s great that the class sizes are relatively small and all of your needs or questions can be addressed specific to what you are working on. The introduction to casting is a great class to take for beginners who are curious to learn as you’re able to leave the class with fully finished pieces. Also playing with fire is super fun and only scary at first :)Would highly recommend Scott as a teacher and maker.

Scott and the entire Bushwick Jewelry Casting community create such a safe space to learn. I’ve taken several classes with Scott and am constantly amazed by the level of thought and consideration he puts into his teaching as well as his students. I have come to him with many ambitious projects and he is always great about trying to understand my vision while also level setting skill. I would highly recommend anyone interested in jewelry or just learning a new skill sign up as you won’t be disappointed and will meet great people!

Scott is an amazing, attentive teacher. Even if a project feels beyond your skill set, Scott gives you so much individual attention you are able to make things you didn’t think you could!! I’ve been going there for two years- and say it’s my happy place!!!

Scott is amazing and knowledgable instructor. The studio is equipped with all the tools and materials you need and Scott is always willing to work with you to help find a way to help you bring your idea to life. I've learned so many skills having taken several classes there! I recommend taking classes there to everyone!

The instructor is very knowledgeable and patient. The class seats about 6 people. The atmosphere is very relaxing.

Scott is not only the best jewelry teacher I’ve ever had (by far) but he is genuinely one of the nicest people I have ever met. He cares about each and every student, he cares about the things you make no matter what it is. I have never had a teacher embrace me or my style the way he has, and he so consistently outdoes himself. He will take care of you and will help you in any way he can. He makes every student feel like they are the most important person in the room, it is amazing. He goes above and beyond for me and I know I am not alone in that. Scott is truly a gem, and I feel lucky to know him.

Best teacher had so much fun there’s no way to make what you can make here in my anywhere, it Scott’s classes allow and require creativity but it’s over all fun experience. You can make a wedding ring to the coolest pendent. Hes great and I can’t wait to return
