The worse experience with a removal company. Moved from the UK to the US in August 2023. Bill, the surveyor was incompetent: we had a sea shipment and an air shipment and even though we had Bill come to survey our home twice, the shipments were still mixed up. The air shipment arrived 2 weeks late!! and soaked!! with no plastic cover to protect our boxes. Our point of contact never gave us any updates on where our shipments were. Now dealing with the insurance and of course, very difficult to follow up with them. Do not use them! It is stressful enough moving from one to country to another with a whole family, but Cadogan made it ten times worse.

This company is completely unprofessional! Our paintings were stolen by their drivers.

This company is so inconsiderate and rudeCalled company three times to move their double parked truck as they had two cars blocked in for over 45 mins. I am a physician and had to see an patient urgently. This was the second time they’ve done this and to have that attitude shows tte lack of respect for others and how they run their company and staff…I only hope their future clients read this post!

Used Cadogan Tate as recommend by my decorator for logistics and deliveries. They were good as far as the move but forgot items many times causing them to make extra trips and charge extra month. Also their pricing is not transparent and they are huge rip off. Sent bills for tens of thousand of dollars after everything completed without telling pricing up front and getting approvals. I then negotiated a final payment with them and then after they continue to send me additional bills for thousands of dollars. I do not recommend you ever use them. They are very shady with their billing practices.Service: Moving-related packing

The worst warehouse... just to drop off one chair they make you wait so much time, is like they don't care.

I was unsure about using the company. I had no reliable source to reach out to for shipping a family heirloom painting. I was waffling between a much lower bid and this one. In the end I believe I made the best choice. The price was relatively fair, under fifteen hundred from Brooklyn to LA, once we took off the local Long Island pick-up and decided to drop off the item to the warehouse in Brooklyn, which saved us three hundred dollars. The trucks are all theirs, everything is in-house, no third party shippers or packers. The warehouse and the trucks are climate controlled so the artwork is not exposed to extremes of temperatures. When I went to the actual facility, saw the operation, and went inside to see how items are packaged and handled, it was a no-brainer that I was going to use this company. The staff were all engaged, I spoke with them about how they would pack and crate the painting, and they showed me the staging area. I was as confident as I could be about leaving a large early 18th c painting in very fragile condition, for them to pack and ship to Los Angeles. We received it, five days later, crated, with foam and styrofoam outside of cardboard packed frame and canvas, with Tybek wrapped around canvas for protection of painted surface. They uncrated the painting and the frame, unpacked it for us, and then we had them pack it back up as we are sending it back out again for conservation. All in all, a seamless transaction, and a company I would definitely use again.

I recently had a large move completed between New York and Georgia. The movers were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I had many paintings, designer furniture pieces and family heirlooms. Everything got there in one piece and would definitely use again.

I used Cadogan Tate for a big, cross-Atlantic move with furniture storage. They:• came to my house and gave me a quote... it turned out to be wrong and I was charged almost £2000 more• held my things in storage for 10 months and overcharged the original quote by £100/month• double billed me on multiple occasions• have team change-overs constantly. I have lost track of the high number of people who have been my contact over the months• told me I would need 10 hours (and would need to pay for waiting time) for my move in, but the team did it in 3• broke one of my dining room chairs and actively discouraged me for filing a claim on the full value insurance I'd purchased• always need to be prompted to return a phone call or email. I have had to request nearly everything (except the initial sale) twice or three times to get things doneThe guys who actually packed & moved things in & out of my house/s were great... but none of them are actually Cadogan Tate employees.EDIT: Management has just said they have no record of my move and that this is a malicious review. Another example of incompetence - photo of my last invoice attached. AND NO, I am not calling you to discuss my review. You had nearly a year to listen to my complaints while I was paying you every month and you never took me seriously then.
