The worst banking experience in my life… no customer service skills what’s so ever !!! Can’t even put into words. Capital one online is great but the locations they have barely of are the worst. Really thinking about taking my money some where else … I would not invest in capital one won’t be surprised if they don’t exist in 5 years

This bank is no good. Tells me incorrect information even after confirmed - did not try to help me with my case whatsoever. Just treated me like a number even though I’ve been with Capital One for 15 years. Put a bad taste in my mouth, honestly.

This branch is horrible. Came here to open an account and after waiting for a while, a man came out asked what I needed. Told him I wanted to open a CD and immediately he was eager to tell me to do it online. Clearly I know that was an option but he was insisting that I can't do it at the branch and that I have to do this at home. Since I was left with no choice, I left. Of course when I got home, I thought, hey what if people who were not tech savy wanted to open an account. Do they get sent away too....knowing they are putting money into the bank. With that in mind, went to the branch and guess what....opening at the branch was not an issue. All in all, I have not faith in this branch. At this point I will avoid this location as I don't trust anything they say.

I walked in because I needed to talk to a live person and find out some information. I met Melvin who was the best and most knowledgeable, personable and efficient person. He answered my questions and took care of me quickly and efficiently. Shout out to Melvin.

I typically don’t write reviews, however my experience with a young man at park slope 5th Avenue location I believe his name was melvin (he had very cool nails) was absolutely phenomenal. I inquired about opening a new savings account and melvin was so helpful and he walked me step by step through the process on how to open a CD savings account online and was very transparent about rates and terms. he also showed me several other things that I am able to do on the capital one banking app that i wasn’t aware of and i’ve been a client for a few years. He was amazing from start to finish. Such an asset. He’s just a star!!

I visited the fifth Ave branch last week to open a cd account. Melvin, the young, kind. teller shared that I could do it on my app. He then read my face and came out to set me up. I thought the rates were, 4. something. But was elated to learn that they were actually 5. Melvin patiently showed me how to set everything up and tested to see that I understood before I left the branch. I appreciated the care that I received. He is an absolute asset to not only this branch but the entire institution.

There are NO branches in Staten Island. I have to travel to either New Jersey or Brooklyn, which is extremely inconvenient and must pay tolls. I guess Capitalone does notblike/value Staten Island customers.

Power walked straight from work today to deposit some money so as you can imagine I’m exhausted. I didn’t have my glasses on so I didn’t realize the bank was technically closed but I did however notice some people inside. One young Woman with glasses opened the door, I went to catch it and she grabbed it from me and smiled saying there’s a sign right here if you can read we’re closed. Childish and inappropriate behavior from a banker here at capital one. I will be speaking to a manager promptly.
