i am a proud customer of carver federal savings bank. my personal banker is Salvatore Carrella. he changed my perspective of personal bankers and made me really appreciate and value their expertise. I feel great knowing i can call the bank and ask for Mr.Carrella , if he is busy he will get back to you shortly. The main thing i love about this guy, is that he will have everything done that you asked. I had some charges that i need blocked and reversed. Mr.Carrella always calls me with the task handled or waiting to be completed if he needs something from me. I must also give thanks to the entire staff every one is polite , professional and positive. I dont get the usual stares as if i'm going to rob the bank like in Manhattan. Thanks again for being a great banker Mr. Salvatore Carrella and thank you to the staff.may you all be blessed with a great new year in 2024

After a half hour wait in line I finally approached a manager (Sal) to ask about opening a small business banking account. At first he ignored me until I asked a second time and he was rude and brushed me off. I simply asked what paperwork I needed and what forms I should use to start filling out the application while I was waiting in line. He refused to give me any information and told me it would take a month before the account would be opened. Everyone else in line seemed just as frustrated at the lack of professionalism and respect at how we were treated. There are three other banks on the very same corner. I recommend anyone in the area use a different bank and not give these people your business.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WAS HELPED BY DWIGHT AND HE IS THE MOST UNPLEASANT PERSON. HE DOES NOT SMILE, THERE WAS NO EYE CONTACT AND I COULD BARELY MAKE OUT WHAT HE WAS SAYING. CARVER NEED TO STOP CHANGING THE STAFF BECAUSE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE KEEPS GOING DOWN. DWIGHT SHOULD NOT BE IN THIS FIELD IF HE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO INTERACT WITH CUSTOMER. I WANT TO SUPPORT THIS BLACK BANK BUT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING TO ME AND CARVER BANK LACKS THAT!

This has to be one of the dumbest banks ever. I opened an account with them and the lady didn’t put my apartment number on my account when it’s clearly on my ID. Now I basically have to wait a month for a debit card. DON’T bank with them ‘

Pretty helpful bank I've been banking with Carver Federal Savings Bank for years this is the Bedford-Stuyvesant branch on Fulton street and New York Avenue ,there used to be on Fulton street & Nostrand Avenue then there move to the restoration plaza closer to New York Avenue. If I'm in bed-stuy I'll definitely come back here ( there plenty of shops on Fulton street and Nostrand avenue to shop , there have a KFC on Nostrand Avenue & Fulton street , and there have a Footprints restaurant known for there Rasta pasta on Nostrand Avenue & Atlantic Avenue ) near this beautiful bank branch. Very convenient by the mta transportation: Subway: A,C -Train . Nostrand Avenue .Train station. L.I.R.R. -Train .Nostrand Avenue. Train station. Buses: B25,B44,B49,etc buses. P.S. the cool thing about this bank their part of the allpoints a.t.m surcharge-free debit -credit cardholders !!!! , just download the app on your mobile device which would let you know which all points atm is the closest to you. Make sure you used your debit card ten times in one month not to be charged . And plus there have mobile banking app !!!! ( This bank name after George Washington Carver)

Carver bank has the worst customer service ever! I went into the bank today to pay a bill, but little did I realize that it would be my biggest mistake of the day. In order to pay the bill, I was asked for my social security number, phone number, address, Drivers license and my profession. (Deep breath). I asked why they needed this information because all I wanted to do was make a one time payment. The teller said because they are a bank they needed this information in case they are ever audited. Against my better judgement, I continued with the tedious process. They also mentioned that they typically keep the information in a secure location off-site. Omg! They also refused to give me a copy of a disclosure that I was forced to sign in order to pay the bill. This is when I had to speak with the manger, Dannette. Unfortunately, she was just as sloppy in her rapport as was the banker. Attitude. Attitude. Attitude. Attitude. I am pretty sure the banker and manger were just really having a screwed up day. You've definitely lost a customer. I will go to my board and petition to transfer our large business account to another bank............... I never complained when they screwed up our business account and put the wrong names and addresses on our forms. I also never complained when they took over 2 weeks just to fix the errors on our account. It is highly unlikely that I will ever utilize their services in the future. I just double checked my receipt and realized that my address is incorrect. And, the account number is not entirely on the receipt.
