I cannot say enough good things about this after school program! They take amazing care of the children, and truly put their health and wellness at the forefront. The cur after school curriculum includes daily help with homework, music, and playing games. The program hosts parties for the students such as a Halloween party, a Thanksgiving luncheon, and a Thanksgiving dinner. A Christmas party is being planned, in which snacks and gifts will be given out. It is a great service to the community as well for the parents. Everyone who works at the center is very friendly. Most importantly, they have a great rapport with the students. Overall, I feel blessed to be volunteering at this establishment. In my many years volunteering at Children of Promise, I have seen many young people that started young and came back as teenagers to “give back”. They are giving the younger ones the same nurturing they received at that age.

Children of Promise NYC is second to none with the work they do in the communities in which it serves and beyond. The opportunities exposure, and experiences that this dynamic organization affords its scholars are not only unique, but critical to their growth, development, and overall success .The support that scholars and families receive are invaluable. From after-school, to summer camp, off site engagements, community service, gifts, party, etc, CPNYC is cultivating generations of leaders. CPNYC continues to leave an indelible impact and I’m so fortunate to have found this organization. All those who play a role should be proud to be apart of CPNYC.

I have had the pleasure of volunteering at their after school and Saturday resource center as well as mentoring a scholar at CPNYC for a year and a half now. The staff and the services they provide are unmatched in the NYC area. CPNYC is truly a special place filled with special people.

I volunteered to tutor the children. The children were awesome. The little girl I tutored was so smart. She said she was 8 and had not started to learn fractions. Well in 5 minutes she learned and was doing the assignment by herself. The staff is great and they run a very structured program for the children.

Interned for about two months and had the worse experience. Very unprofessional and poor work environment culture.Lack of support from higher management!!!!!!!! Would not recommend for professional development or personal (kids).

Bed-Stuy deserves better. Our kids deserve better. I'm tired of these organizations pretending to do good but only taking free money. Who's running this place? It is unprofessional and unorganized. My girlfriends daughter worked here and was fired for no reason. About five counselors were fired the same day by a manager who was laughing and couldn't get his story straight. It had nothing to do with c19. The kids were attached to these counselors and its just not right to treat your staff like that and then smile in a parents face like everything's alright and you're doing the right thing when you're not. I will never trust a company let alone a school who mistreats its employees. It reveals the true color of leadership. How are they treating our kids when we are not watching? DO NOT SUPPORT!

This program used to be good, but now not so much! My daughter goes to this program. The program director lies quite often! One example is, There was a flyer passed out that families would be receiving $300 gift cards to assist with food from the week of the 9-13th and every time I call, I’m being told that she will be calling families to give out the gift cards. That’s not what the flyer said though!!! To date, no gift cards and you just don’t do that when so many people aren’t working and can use it for food. There have been many other times in the summer for a teen program, when the kids were promised one amount and then week after week, were being told something different. Not professional at all! Plus, there’s a lot of kids now that belong in gangs that are starting to attend. The program is not what it should be.

Although my children only attended for a short period of time, I’m grateful for the love and support Children of Promise provided my family. Great focus and mission to support the future of our children
