I feel that the prices are extremely unreasonable. We purchased a pumpkin that apparently was by weight. It was 26.00. I have never even heard of this. Disappointing. You can get pumpkins at other stores nearby for between 6 and 11 dollars. So if you want a pumpkin for carving go elsewhere.

I love the staff at Crest. I found a great mirror on the street that seemed impossible to put up in my tiny room and they were able to intuit how it should be hanged. They explained how to make a French cleat in great detail as a sturdy, incredibly cheap way of doing it. Love having them in the neighborhood.

I wanted to love this place and for the most part, I used to.I always try to shop locally both for convenience and to support small businesses but I can’t bring myself to come back here due to a series of negative experiences, specifically, at the hardware counter. I very rarely write negative reviews but the two guys who work back there are so unpleasant and condescending that I felt the need to inform people to help others avoid having such experiences. Every time I go in there to ask for parts they’ve taken to rudely insisting that I’m using the wrong terminology. As someone who’s worked in metal fabrication for 15 years, Ive come to realize that sometimes, people have slightly different terminology dependent on geographical location, field, age, use case, etc… and I’ve alway enjoyed learning alternate names for tools and hardware. That said, this level of pedantry, condescension and exclusion just stinks. It’s not like I use obscure terminology, either, today I went in looking for some “5mm M3 flathead screws in stainless steel” and before I’d finished my sentence the taller guy cut me off to inform me that I was saying it wrong and didn’t know what I was asking for… from now on I guess I’ll be paying expensive shipping costs from McMaster just to avoid the grief.

Such a great store - friendly staff, nice selection of plants, and prices that aren't too crazy.

They are the reason I buy local. There have been countless times I have gone and have been barely charged considering all the free help and wisdom they give out. They are the friendliest and most knowledgeable people on the block. I refuse to go to big chain hardware stores at this point

Crest is the best. Can't wait for Franklin to show his ugly face again soon now that the weather is improving

Fantastic local hardware store with just about everything you might need and more. Check out their plant and garden section, not to be missed.

You know why Crest is the best. That guy Tony in the back. Always super helpful. And Crest has cool stuff from season to season. Be kind to everyone working inside.

A fantastic store & garden supply with holiday decorations & classic toys. Stop by to see their 24yr old African Grey Parrot Finnlay who loves to whistle &blow kisses!! And sometimes in the warmer months you can catch Franklin the pig lounging in his little house in the garden center ? As a freelance babysitter in Williamsburg, I've been bringing kids here for years!!!

The workers are SUPER helpful. I went there with a DIY project does and they helped me think of it throughly. I keep going back again and again as they not only give you the parts but they help you think of your projects that you bring to them.Very kind staff that are down to earth. I believe Amy was her name!

Go for the plants and linger to say hi to Franklin the pig out back! Seriously, a nice gem. The employee that helped me was the best and was telling me the story of how he nursed the plant I was interested in back to life. Really shows the care they put into their plants, and we should all be about it.

Love this place. I went in a few weeks ago looking for carnivorous plants and they took my number and called me the morning they came in. So amazing!
