It had been years since I'd done Crossfit and I was reluctant to go back. A friend recommended this place and said they're very accommodating and offer a free trial class. Isabelle and Nazar made it so easy for me to get back in the groove. I've since joined and have been going twice a week. As for the gym as a whole, the other members are cool and it definitely feels like everyone tries to support one another.

Love Coach Will! I’m lifting heavier than ever before. Feeling good! And there’s community events every few months. Ugly sweater party was the last one. I was nervous with some of the other reviews, though my experience has been great and even got my friend to sign up.

Do not consider joining. All the bad reviews are completely honest.
Just a truly bad gym.
While i was there i heard alot that they are likely going out of business due to lack of people joining so they cant pay their bills anymore.
They're coaches are awesome though. But they cant change anything that is out of their control.

Love this group of gyms. Great support upon joining, experienced coaches and welcoming atmosphere! I love their little reminders/motivation messages and the strict rules about attendance. It helps keep me accountable!

Disgustingly predatory business practice. Step foot in this gym at your own peril. And never give them penny or they won’t stop coming after you for more.
In response to their comment:
I hoped this gym would help me build confidence and muscle, but this gym has only made me feel like a fool and a sucker.
I did the intro class in December. I never step foot in the gym again. They make you use this abysmal Wodify app that’s terrible for scheduling classes and even more difficult to actually login to. I was never able to take classes and haven’t been to this gym since the intro in December. I’ve already payed them way more money than I ever want to and they are still harassing me for more.
I’m clearly not the only one who has had a bad experience with their billing, as many of the other reviews have pointed out the same issues.

Great neighborhood gym, coaches and fellow members are always welcoming and supportive, making for a motivating workout community. As a mom of 2 young kids who hasn’t worked out consistently in over 6 years, I was looking for a “plug and play” workout routine that didn’t require any planning on my part. I love that I can just show up and have a full-body workout planned alongside a community that motivates me to work harder than I would otherwise on my own.

Signed up for 24/7 access under the impression that I could walk in and use gym whenever. What's not communicated is that there's a limit of 2 PEOPLE for open workout during times when any class is in session. Those times happen to be 6-9 pm lol, directly after normal hours. Also another annoyance, minor but still frustrating, you cannot just walk up scan a fob and get in, you have to pre-register on an app to "sign up" for open access working out. When I brought this up they were condescending and tried - as all profit hungry businesses do - to make it my fault for reading some small print that doesn't exist.

I've had a terrible experience with BK Fit. Their prices are steep, but I thought I'd treat myself to a decent gym—but they twist the knife, charging you for missing your own gym appointments and upon deciding to quit the gym, they charge you an additional month's fee.

Beware, lots of hidden fees and charges. I regret giving BK Fit a try. I originally joined because it’s the only gym near my house. I did not read their lengthy contract closely. (Who does?)
For example, they require you to pay a full month’s membership fee *after* cancellation. Plan to put your membership on a credit card? That’ll be an $7 additional charge. Fail to check in yourself on their app when you join in person? That’ll be a $15 charge.

Great club, but their website and internal system for booking trainings are terribly uncomfortable and constantly glitching. You have to spend a lot of time to figure it out.

This gym is a sad excuse for inclusion in the Bed-Stuy community. Sadly, this gym demonstrates a non-inclusive mantra to make people feel not welcomed or provide teaching on core gym exercises. It’s really sad that BKFIT is an opportunistic organization that has been allowed in the community. Let’s start with the review:1. Due to the changes and loss of culture in the Bed Stuy neighborhood, the gym is catered to people who have maybe slightly higher incomes or geared to a demographic that is not inclusive. As a minority of Black and Latin decent, the classes were not diverse, the discussion content was not even engaging to promote universal discussion and it is evident that the BKFIT is catering to a particular demographic.2. There is no diversity in the training or gym regimen. Will who is the trainers, really shouldn’t be teaching. He is either focused on training people to become body builders or again catering to the demographic of people who are familiar with the gym.3. The gym promotes “Open to everyone” which is not the case. It is geared towards 25-40 year old transplants who have had access to gyms and other forms of fitness education.4. The pricing is steep; and the amenities are not worth what is being charged. The equipment is lackluster as well.5. If you don’t have a basic understanding of the exercises, the instructors get frustrated with you and make you feel less than. The gym is supposed to be an encouraging experience. Not one to walk away feeling like a failure.6. It is evident BK FIT, particularly in gentrified areas need a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion consultant to educate their staff to make all members feel welcomed.Overall, the gym was not motivating and more so demoralizing. I am thankful I am a strong person. After doing math, I joined LifeTime fitness and get quadruple the amenities and experience is overall top tier. Also, with their multiple locations and coaches my fitness journey has been amazing. A year strong. Also, if you go to the gym on class pass, Bonnie will send you a snarky email about attending too many classes and it is mandatory to join. Again, without talking to the clients, it’s an assumption already made. Good luck to anyone who reads this. I would seriously consider a class pass 1 visit before commitment.Lastly, the tone of the individual writing this response demonstrated a condescending tone. The fact I am being accused using is a "False" name is my response to my actual email that I used. Again, the owners and trainers demonstrate a hostile environment and for me, it was just not a great place to be. Please feel free to join yourself and experience on your own. This was my experience.

Will is an exceptional CrossFit coach whose enthusiasm and upbeat energy make every session a joy. His dedication to pushing me beyond my limits while ensuring proper form and safety is commendable. I trust Will wholeheartedly to guide me towards my fitness goals. If you're looking for a coach who truly cares about your progress and wellbeing, Will is the one to choose!

I really enjoy the power lifting classes, which has been a surprise! I’m never lifted heavy weights before, but Anthony is a great coach for beginners and people of all ages. You get lots of personal attention, even in a full class. I’m new to New York and it’s been a good way to meet people from the neighborhood. I signed up for my first power lifting competition this spring!

I've been coming to BK Fit Bedstuy for over a year. The coaches are wonderful and I'm so thankful we have this gym in our community.
