So today I came in to rent a unit and was greeted by one one the friendliest staff members Kahliah. She made everything super easy and was such a light in a day when I was very stressed 10/10 would recommend. I felt a sense of safeness with her that made me more comfortable leaving all my stuff.

Came ten minutes before closing and I wasn’t let into my storage unit, costing me an extra $50 in ubering back and forth on another day (I have too much stuff to take the train, hence timing my visits to make sure they’re within hours). This policy was never relayed to me, and also isn’t on the sign outside the door with their hours that I’ve been directed to a lot. I get that it’s miserable working a job like this but it also feels miserable to arrive ten minutes BEFORE closing, then spend more time arguing with me than it would’ve taken to just walk two steps and open the door (because apparently your entry code literally doesn’t even work fifteen minutes before closing! Like is this an international flight I’m boarding?!), and be incredibly condescending while also still helping two other costumers who are certainly getting access until closing time, and then turning me out into the cold rain. I will be taking my business elsewhere next month (also because Cubesmart randomly raised the cost by like $20 halfway through this year) and definitely not doing business with Cubesmart. Don’t lie about the hours I have access to my storage unit, and pay your employees better so they don’t have all this unhappiness they take out on customers.
