My experience at Dokebi is my karma for going to Williamsburg for kbbq and expecting seasoned food. This was the worst bbq I've had in the city. Everything was incredibly bland and overpriced AF. We got the "spicy" chicken wings...NO FLAVOR whatsoever, no spice at all. It's like they just dipped a chicken wing in some frying oil and threw it on our plates. We also got the spicy bulgogi-again, zero spice- and the steak chops. It was so bad we had to ask for salt and pepper. We tried asking for garlic salt or other kinds of seasoning and they apparently didn't have that. The servers and bartenders were lovely though.

We stumbled upon this Korean BBQ gem and we're so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat. Our server was incredibly helpful, guiding us through the entire experience with patience and expertise. The food was simply amazing. The chicken wings were some of the best we've ever had crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and bursting with flavor. The Bulgogi beef was incredibly tender. And let's not forget about the assortment of sauces and sides, which complemented the meal perfectly. The best part Getting to grill all the food ourselves right at our table, adding an interactive and fun element to the dining experience.

Conflicted experienceThe quality of the meat and food was great, love the flavor, but there were a lot of standard KBBQ items that we found missing. Great starter KBBQ place, but we had to ask for bowls, spoons, extra barchan, and to switch out the grills when it got too dirty. They did not have brisket sauce, salt, scissors, egg soufflé, and rice paper.

Love this place. Having only A+ service and food here for years! Sneaky amazing brunch menu for those who hate the idea of regular williamsburg brunch. No waiting in line, no overly loud, overly terrible music, or any last night's disco crowd. A consistent and enjoyable restaurant with great staff and amazing chefs. Cheers and thank you!

The food was good and they have cool merch for purchase. We came during lunch hour and had to wander into the back to find someone who could seat us. Overall I would come back and try something different off the menu

My experience here on Valentine’s Day 2024 was terrible ! I had a reservation for 930 got there at 920 dint get seated until maybe 15 later even though there was nobody seated in the table I was seated at - me and wife finally sit down - it took about another 10 minutes to receive a menu ( after we asked for one thinking they would of given us a menu when we sat down ) then another 15 minutes pass by and I had to get up and ask for someone to come and take our order ( embarrassing) was the location packed? NO - there was also at-least 3 waitress there . The food finally arrives half way through our meal I ask for a second ginger ale NEVER CAME - so I had to ask again - I honestly just felt bad for my wife she use to like coming here but I guess we won’t be returning here no more

For soup dish review only:Damn, probably the worst Korean soup dish I’ve ever had. No flavor, it’s like boiled water and meat and veggies. Meat tasted stale. To make this even worse, the server or bartender takes her own sweet time to take orders. She’s basically laughing and giggling super loud at the back like I can’t even have a decent conversation with my friend without being interrupted by her loud screams of laugh. The ladies next to us were basically waving to get her attention but no luck. She kept on having a blast with whoever they were. It felt like she didn’t works there, more like she’s a patron. The ladies pretty much gave up and asked the busser boy to help out. We looked at each other and basically shrugged off to this level of service. Never going back.

Some friends and I came in on a Friday night around 545. We were able to walk in, but just after we did the place started to fill and there was a wait. We ordered the ttuckpokki as an appetizer and did the korean bbq for dinner. The ttuckpokki was nice and spicy and the rice cakes a perfet texture. For the bbq we did a single order of each: steak cubes, spicy bulgogi, and chadolbaegi. This, with rice and the banchan was a perfect amount for 3 people. The meat was fresh and high quality, and came with garlic, onions, broccoli, and mushrooms to grill with it. It was also served with soy sauce and a delicious peanut sauce for dipping. We also had the yuzu margaritas and a sake that we enjoyed. Our server was prompt and friendly, and the ambiance was a perfect mix of bustling but quiet enough to hear all your tables conversations. Definitely stop by!

What a fantastic place. We stumbled upon this place by just waking by. Everything was great. Service was excellent and the food was so filling. Love how you can cook your own food. Very convenient location too.

Hipster vibe. Great friendly service. It was very busy and there was a long wait for our food but the apps came out fast and they gave us extra. Waiter was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We wanted a table with a stove but they didn't have any available. We had steak and wings and chicken. Everything was beyond delicious. We went in the summer and haven't made it back yet, but we plan to. Definitely worth the wait!

The young waitress with glasses could not be nicer and friendlier. He informed us of absolutely everything. It was my 1st time, it was my brother's 3rd. I have type 1 diabetes, he explained absolutely the entire menu to me in terms of sugars (they barely use anything) and carbohydrates. All the sauces are homemade, made by them, as are the dishes. The food is very good. The kimchee are homemade. The 6 accompaniments are always served, we also ordered grilled vegetable gyozas (incredible), japche with pork (a stir-fry of sweet potato noodles with vegetables, sauces, seaweed, pork...) and soondubu chigae (a kind of fish stew and seafood with tofu to which I added egg, this dish is crazy, spicy). I saw the BBQ at other tables, it looked very good. I highly recommend it for everything. I will certainly return. They have many options for everyone.Vegetarian options: There is an option for the dishes to be just veggies, they use a lot of tofu, which by the way is delicious.Dietary restrictions: They inform you of everything they can about the menu. They separate food from the plate or eliminate or replace it without problems.Kid-friendliness: You can go with childrenWheelchair accessibility: It has no architectural barriers
