If you're purchasing any fruits, make sure you open the package and check inside if you can. Purchased some strawberries the other day and while it looked fine on the outside, when you open the package, all the strawberries were brown or has holes in them. Looks like the worker there purposely turned them to hide the blemishes to sell them. While you may have gotten my money from this sale, you lost a customer who would purchase more in the future.

This place is very small compared to the other stores on Ave U because of its location so they try to carry most essential items that they think customers would buy, such as some veggies, fruits, meats, seafoods and cold and dry items. Even though they are small, I find them to have reasonable prices for their fruits and sometimes veggies. They are also the only one on Ave U that has fresh cheung fun noodles for purchase. This place is usually my go to place for blueberries, strawberries, oranges, grapes and occasionally raspberries/blackberries. Occasionally they would carry rare fruits like blood orange.

In Homecrest Chinatown, there are dozens of markets and supermarkets plentifully serving such as to make one wonder if they cannibalizes each other but seeing Easy Shop reminds me there is a niche for each one. Here it is clean, uncomplicated, and reliable. Their cleanliness for a market their size is renowned among locals and still true right now as I stand in its open aisles. Clearly visible are the equally open and clean are its seafood and meat departments with very few rows of dry foods which helps use the space efficiently. No fancy selections but all the right ones for basics makes for a fuss less shopping experience. It's being literally physically adjacent to the subway station helps its ease thus its apt name.

Small grocery store - compared to surrounding shops - selling primarily Asian goods. What they lack in aisles of product and merchandise, Easy Shop has in basic one stop shop for your kitchen needs: fresh produce, sauces, dried goods and seafood and meat butcher counters. Competitive prices, friendly and, most importantly, clean!
