Store seems super „Bizzy“ but sitting there over 20 minutes waiting for shoes ( which they didn’t even find them in size 10 ) you see there is a lot of manpower all doing nothing.
The gentleman I asked for Nike airforce told me they only have them in size 10
He told me to sit and wait what I did for 20 minutes. He passed by me often. When I asked him when my shoes where coming „sorry buddy they out of stock“
He could tell me ?
Anyway during that time Waiting in saw other customers angry leaving hearing the sales crew speaking about lunchbreaks and leaving all work with one younger worker
Unbelievable that and that at Macys

Parking to this location is terrible and they dont accept returns or exchanges. You're better off going to an actual independent store.

Not worth it. Few shoes. Bad service.

I'm very surprised they have a lower rating. I came in here earlier today and tried on a nice shirt that I liked. It was discounted, but the girl that worked there was able to work even a bigger discount. The service was a 10, I'm very happy with how she was able to help with that

Macy's has good selection of everything and the upgrades the store has done over the past few years make it feel more spacious and modern. Unfortunately, the customer service is hit and miss. I don't want to generalize, because there are good and bad salespeople everywhere. But on my recent visit to the store in search of a specific type of walking shoe, I was ignored by the sales staff (I assume that's what they were, because all they were doing was standing around talking to each other). I went right up to the three of them and asked if somebody could give me some help. By the look I got in return you'd have thought I was asking them to clean my bathroom. I received the absolute minimum amount of attention, which consisted of locating a pair of shoes, handing it to me, and walking away. I knew I was going to need to try on several different styles and sizes so that I could compare, but I knew that I was on my own. I left, and went to a dedicated sneaker store a few doors down. The difference was night and day. Needless to say, I will never again shop for shoes at Macy's on Fulton St. and I'll think twice about shopping for anything else that requires customer service.

The shopping experience at this Macy's has deteriorated over the past 10-15 years. The store only superficially looks better and cleaner, but everything else has gotten worse. Yes, the store associates are generally friendly, but few make any real effort to help shoppers get in and out of the store quickly like they used to in years gone by... I grew up shopping at this store, and the service in the late 1990s to the 2010s was exceptional. Now, in post-COVID NYC, service at this location suffers mainly because of poor customer service, a lack of accountability, indifferent store associates, and nonexistent managers. One of my main gripes is lack of employee engagement with shoppers. Few of the associates seem to care or help shoppers check out quickly in high volume times. In the early 2000s to the 2010s, store associates, who were folding clothes and not working the check out queues, would offer to help check out shoppers so that they could go about their day. This doesn't happen anymore. Now, in 2023, store associates direct the shoppers to the only 1 or 2 open queues on each floor to check out items, and those queues are often crammed with people complaining about returns, payment issues, or some other problem(s). Due to this, I've often put back items and left the store because the wait time to checkout is too long. I'm not sure if this issue is due to inadequate staffing, poor management, employee compensation, or all of the above, but something must be done, as the store is losing money for fixable problems.

Found a good pair of jeans, they were able to run a discount on them and get me a good rate on them. I feel the lady that worked there didn't have to do that. Amazing service and I feel the cost was very reasonable. I've always loved macys!

I've only had good shopping experiences at this location. Went early today to return some goods and take advantage of the holiday sales. Return line was long but moved quickly. Cashier check out as well. Sales and cashiers were friendly and helpful! I'd come here every time instead of Herald Square.

Store is severely understaffed. Needs more people to help customers with checking out. Also most pairs of shoes on display are the only pair available and are not for sale.

It's sad to see how far a once good store has fallen. Big management and hiring issues. Don't waste your time.

Very little selection compared to a regular Macy's

Beware and be aware of Macy's returning policy. Some items have 30 days other less. Know what the last day for returns are even if is one-day over the deadline, Macy's refuses to accept it for credit, exchange or a price change. Many other stores do offer credit slips for returned merchandise without a credit slip as long as you have proper ID such as a non-driver's license/license/passport...you get the idea. Just a warning so you know the stingy 30-day return policy especially if you have a high priced ticketed item. In my situation, I was able to suck-up my loss but it's the principle of having duplicated tops that were already purchased. Disappointing, even with going to the cashier who referred me to Customer's Service where I was rejected and turned down by both.
