Their shirts are very poor material very cheap and they sell them for $30 and $40 one wash and the shirts are gone!! Save your money and go to a place that actually respects their costumers and respect themselves

Literally the worst gap factory, run from this place, customer service is horrible. The staff doesn’t care if you need help. They pretend to fold clothes and ignore you. You stand on the line to pay and no matter if you’re there 2 minutes or 20 minutes no one will call for back up. If you ask for help to pay they tell you there’s another cash register upstairs, you go upstairs and no one is there either. This staff will stand there and literally ignore everyone. Go anywhere else.

This store used to be great. Not sure what happened. They just hire anybody willing to show up I guess. No customer service at all. Went there on a Saturday morning just browsing. Wanted to try on some items. A worker kept staring at me as I was waiting at the dressing room entrance. Acting as if I'm stealing... never asked if I needed help or if I wanted to try on. I had just 2 items in my hand. Kept walking by to stare at me and make sure I wasn't stealing. Never got the dressing room opened. Just alot of nasty looks. Not sure why as I was just waiting patiently. I ended up just leaving. I'll take my business elsewhere. Sucks that gap isn't training their workers on customer service anymore. Or maybe the employees just don't care.

Russian lady @ the register was rude & definitely made me want to change my mind on coming to this location to save myself from coming out of character. Then she kept pressuring me to sign up for the Gap credit card after I said no thank you the first time. She kept insisting I sign up and still receive the 10% off I didnt care about
You also are followed around while shopping. They try to play it off by asking do you need a shopping bag … I already had a bag why would I need another?
No thanks ✌🏼

The reviews of other people experiencing terrible customer service from this particular store and a repeated pattern on the African American employee who has an attitude, my mother today was being profiled since he as an Hispanic woman she was being followed around the store and felt uncomfortable and felt like she was being watched and was unable to enjoy shopping for clothing.

I have never experienced that kind of horrible attitude before in any gap store! The African American guy on the register was so rude to me without any reason! Never come here! And please Don't make such people cashiers. They don't know the definitions of their duties.

I often love shopping at the Gap store in Bay Ridge, and I have consistently had wonderful experiences there. This is undoubtedly one of the best clothing stores in the area, and it is always well-maintained, which makes for a pleasant shopping environment. The store is clean, organized, and welcoming, which makes browsing through the clothing a genuinely enjoyable experience.
The staff at this Gap location are incredibly friendly and helpful. Every time I have had a question or needed assistance, they have always been prompt and courteous in their responses. It is evident that they are well-trained and genuinely care about providing excellent customer service. This level of attentiveness makes a significant difference in the overall shopping experience, and it keeps me coming back to this store time and time again.
One aspect that particularly stands out to me is how the staff handles unruly customers. On a few occasions, I have witnessed the team manage difficult situations with grace and professionalism. They remain calm and composed, ensuring that all customers feel respected and valued, even in challenging circumstances. This ability to maintain a positive atmosphere, even when faced with difficulties, speaks volumes about the quality of the staff and management at this location.
The selection of clothing at the Bay Ridge Gap store is fantastic. They always have a wide variety of styles and sizes, ensuring that there is something for everyone. The displays are well-organized, making it easy to find what I am looking for without feeling overwhelmed. Additionally, the store often has great sales and promotions, which make shopping here even more appealing.
In conclusion, I cannot say enough good things about the Gap store in Bay Ridge. The combination of a well-maintained store, friendly and helpful staff, and a great selection of clothing makes this location a standout in the area. I highly recommend shopping here if you are looking for a pleasant and satisfying retail experience. This Gap store consistently exceeds my expectations, and I am always looking forward to my next visit.

First of all I just became a witness of a terrible customer service, big tall African American guy with a lot of piercings on his ears treated older lady so bad I can’t even say enough. He was very rude, giving her attitude, spoke to her with commanding tone for no reason
Second of all two guys at the front pretended that they don’t see me there waiting for fitting room. They supposed to open the room for me but they were avoiding eye contact with me, so I stood there right in front of them waiting for someone to come out of the room so I could use it. But guess what, the second I left the room with stuff I wasn’t buying , he right away commanded me to hang the stuff and pointed at the hangers
They get pissed at you there if you touch the stuff (clothes) because then they have to put it neatly in order, BUT ISNT IT YOUR JOB AND WHAT YOU GETTING PAID FOR????!!! Why the attitude?!

I like shopping here but the homeless guy outside has to go.... it's been years and he sleeps in a service entrance using boxes to create a privacy wall. Why won't The Children's Place, The Gap or the 86st BID do something about this... I work in the area and it's been YEARS that this guy is squatting there, I see him everyday. Such a shame and he's so annoying always nagging people, including me, for money.
