One word to describe this place & hair dressers- THE BEST. From the moment you walk in you have a sense of professionalism and warmth. This establishment really feels like home at this point. All the hair dressers are extremely knowledgeable and competent and the result of any treatment shows it. From hair styling, to massage treatments to facial treatments… everyone there is incredible!

I’ve been going to Jenny at Glamvie Salon for the past 8 years, and I can confidently say she’s an absolute hair artist! From highlights and balayage to toning, cutting, and styling my very long hair, she’s done it all—and always with flawless results.
I love her work so much that even after moving from Brooklyn to New Jersey 6 years ago, I still travel an hour and a half each way just to see her. That’s how much I trust her with my hair!
Jenny not only has incredible skill and attention to detail, but she also listens carefully to what I want and makes sure I leave the salon feeling beautiful and confident every single time. Her balayage and color work are stunning and always look natural and fresh, and she’s the only person I trust with big changes to my hair.

This salon literally saved my life last week. On the morning of a wedding I was attending, my makeup/hair artist cancelled on me. I called Glamvie and the girl in the front (Haley?) moved appointments over for my hair and got their makeup artist to come for me as well. Forever grateful. The BEST!

Glamvie goes above and beyond to cultivate an atmosphere in their salon space where their clients are pampered and cared for during their salon and beauty experiences. The staff from customer care to beauty and haircare technicians and are knowledgeable, professional and soo kind! The positive energy in the room is inspiring. Their colorists are the best! As a brunette turned blonde, there is no better place for color and hair care services. Thank you Glamvie!

I usually don’t leave negative reviews, and I honestly feel bad doing so now, especially because the salon owner, Vita, was incredibly kind and responsive throughout this experience. She did her best to make things right and refunded most of the money I paid. However, I feel that curly-haired clients should be warned before booking with Monique, who was recommended to me as a curl specialist.
After a bad curly cut from another salon left one side of my hair noticeably shorter, I waited almost a year for it to grow out. When I was ready to fix it, I called this salon and asked specifically for someone experienced with curly hair. I was directed to Monique, and I made a consultation appointment with her first. I showed her the uneven layers and asked if she could fix it or if I should continue growing it out. She assured me that she could fix it, so I trusted her and booked the haircut.
At the appointment, I reminded her again about the uneven side, and she acknowledged it. But once she started cutting, she didn’t section my hair or pull the front pieces forward to check for evenness—basic steps anyone who specializes in curly hair should take. I even mentioned that one side looked longer, and she responded vaguely that it was possible. I was surprised by how careless the process felt, especially after how much time and care I had put into both consultations.
After the cut, she had me wash and diffuse my hair by flipping my head upside down, which is not ideal for short curly hair unless you want an afro. That’s exactly what I ended up with. When she noticed a curl hanging differently, she was about to cut it. I asked if I could go home, style my hair as I normally do, and return if I found any pieces that were off. She suggested cutting it on the spot to save me a trip. I explained that I didn’t style my hair this way and preferred to wait—but she cut it anyway.
The result of my haircut was that my hair became completely unmanageable. I called the salon and spoke with Vita, who was incredibly understanding and apologized multiple times. She offered to have someone else fix my hair in a month or two, but I couldn’t bring myself to return. Even two months later, the pieces that were cut would still be too short to correct, and I’ll likely have to wait another four to six months before I can consider another cut.
I messaged Vita on Instagram to let her know how disappointed I was, and she was very sweet and empathetic. She told me I shouldn't have to pay for something I didn't like, and that she wished she could make my hair grow faster. She mentioned that it was the first time she was hearing this kind of feedback about Monique, though I had seen a few other negative reviews online myself.
She refunded me most of what I paid, which I truly appreciate. But a few days later, I saw a post on their Instagram promoting Monique as a curly hair expert, which felt like a slap in the face—not just to me, but to other clients who may have had similar experiences. At first, I thought maybe it was just an attempt to support her stylist after a difficult situation—I even messaged Vita saying I admired her support for her team—but later, it didn’t sit right with me.
Vita was truly kind throughout all of this, and I even apologized to her for how emotional I was. I don’t enjoy writing reviews like this, but I feel a responsibility to warn other curly-haired clients. Monique is a very nice and friendly person, but she was extremely careless and left me with a haircut that is worse than when I walked in—and completely unmanageable.
I hope this helps someone else avoid the same experience.

I am honestly thrilled that we went to Glamvie! They were super welcoming and accommodating. We sat to wait (we were early) and we were offered something to drink and my daughter enjoyed reading the magazines. They were right on time with our appointment.
Victoria was our hairstylist and wow, we were blown away with her talent. It is hard to find someone that listens to what hair cut you want but Victoria listened and cut our hair exactly how we wanted it. We will make Glamvie our permanent hairstyling place!
