One star for the actual wine selection in an otherwise dry neighborhood--- however the service from the owner was confusing and insulting. I walked in looking for something bubbly and a dry pinot noir for an xmas dinner and the owner approached me asking if I needed any help to which I welcomed-- he then continued to direct me to the absolute cheapest 14$ ish options saying "for you, here's something cheaper." Initially I shrugged off the odd comment but then when he asked my price range (which I said was 25-30$ / bottle ) he responded totally shocked-- a literal "oh wow"--- 25$ isn’t even that much…. It was bizarre to receive such negative assumptions-- especially from an owner who I presume would want to sell merchandise?? I’m mid 30s professional and I wasn't even dressed bad-- just in sporty errand clothing. Needless to say it wasn't very merry

It’s 9:30pm on Monday November 20th and I’m standing in the store with no one around. A lesser man would’ve robbed this place easy.

Ordered a hard to find bourbon through Grain & Vine. Never got an order confirmation number and four days after placing the order received a word salad email asking for my patience as the order had not yet shipped due to a "high volume of orders this month". Tried to cancel order over the phone but the employee on their end said they couldn't help since they had "no access to online orders" and to "try back later when somebody else might be able to help." Meanwhile, they processed the $177.00 credit card charge promptly and with no hiccups. Charge since disputed... vendor now enters the "never again" zone...

They have the "Good Stuff". I've been collecting single barrel, cast proof, unfiltered Kentucky Bourbons for > 20 years. Just for "Show". Don't drink it.

Despite some puzzling and entertaining negative Yelp reviews, I've frequented this store many times and have never had a negative experience. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable, and always willing to help you navigate their vast selection of wines and spirits. I once asked for recommendations for a good wine for Thanksgiving, and the gentleman behind the counter was informative and unpretentious, even though I knew nothing about wine. One insider tip for neighborhood locals: add your name to their system and accrue points towards a store credit. With such helpful staff, it's hard to imagine what more one could expect from a place like Grain & Vine.

came thru 3x and only purchased once. underwhelmed by natural and organic wine selection but more so, felt staff was rather dismissive / aloof or weren’t compelling with their reco. there’s a lot more solid options nearby.

Great selection for Japanese whiskeys, I was able to purchase the bottle searching for long time and have them shipped securely out of state.

Cashier/associate staff pretentious, yet not very knowledgeable. This is off putting because the store is usually empty and I usually just want to gtfo with as little interaction as possible. Mediocre overpriced selection of readily available brands. Store ambiance is dark and weird looking. Kind of like they're trying to project a high-end look, but just ends up looking as if they're trying too hard to focus on style when they should be customer-focused. As an alternative, I would recommend Yangs Liquor Inc on Grand. Staff there actually knows their inventory, shelves are fully stocked and (they) treat guests with professionalism. Hard pass on Grain & Vine.

honestly this place looks nice from the outside but the guy working on sunday nights was so rude it made me need to write a review. i came in 10 min before closing, looking for a gift for someone and was asking for help. i was one of two people in the store and the other customer didn't need help from what i could tell. i ask the guy working for help and he proceeds to tell me, there's less than 8 min till closing so i should "pick something and get out". on top of that they were BLASTING screamo music so i ended up grabbing something cheap and not good bc i felt weird leaving empty handed but will never come back here and i wouldn't suggest anyone else do either

The best wine shop in Brooklyn. Great selection of wine and spirits. They change their inventory frequently so you will always find something new and exciting. Ask for recommendations!

My order arrived damaged. It's been almost a month since I contacted their support but have yet to get a response. I purchased the shipment insurance yet I have not got reimbursed for my order nor have I been offered a replacement.

I don’t often leave reviews but this place is pretty special - granted today was my first and only visit but the staff was so warm, so welcoming and had great recommendations for the wines I was looking to get. Wine stores in Brooklyn can sometimes can feel intimidating if you’re not knowledgeable (like me) but this place is the opposite of that. The variety and selections are awesome and it’s overall just a really great space. Really happy to have this spot in my new neighborhood and the fact that it has parking is a nice added bonus!

I’ve been coming here regularly for the past two years and have never had anything but great service and positive experiences. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable, and always available to offer recommendations. Selection is well-curated and I always love browsing in here for new finds.
