I've recently become very interested in plants, and I've visited nearly every plant shop in Manhattan and Brooklyn. But I've never come across a place with such high-quality pots, beautiful flowers and plants, and such a thoughtfully curated space. It's by far my favorite spot. I had a brief conversation with the owner today about the plants, and it truly made me happy—it was such a joyful experience. Thank you for being so kind and welcoming! I'll definitely be back next week to see more plants.

Was scared cause of bad reviews. Needed a cheaper bouquet for my daughter. Walked in and told one of the 4 people working there that my cap is $30. She made this in 5 min. It was perfect.
They price by flower like many florists - some are $6, some are $11, some are $3, and when they put it all together it’s that price.

For the price I paid ($49 + tax), I didn’t expect to immediately have to rescue my new curly spider plant. But 3 days after purchasing, its leaves started to brown at the tip and the soil still felt soaking wet. I decided to repot, and found extensive root rot. Not surprising, because the pot had no holes, the plants were very overcrowded, and they were tightly bound with rubber bands to stay upright. So so so overpriced for what should’ve been 50% off at Home Depot.

Received a flower delivery yesterday and the flowers are absolutely beautiful - it really feels like a luxury experience to receive such a mix of exotic looking spring flowers!

The flowers were gorgeous and so healthy! My lady loved them! Want to thank Sara for putting together a beautiful set of flowers. I went in not knowing what I wanted and Sara went above and beyond putting together something special for my lady. Sara for the win !!! It was also really nice to meet Adaeze , she was nothing but nice I will definitely be back. If you’re ever thinking of stopping by the GRDN do it !

Terrible experience. I am new to plants and went in asking for some advice and seeking to learn as well as looking to purchase. The staff member was kind and directed me to who I believe was the owner. Who was incredibly rude towards me and my friend for simply showing interest in plants and her shop. I don't know if this is how she treats everyone or just woke up on the wrong side of the bed. But I won't be going back here. The people at the plant section of ace hardware or home depot are better.Something I will say. The actual store and its products seemed great. But I wouldn't know as I was just trying to get my foot in this game. Maybe next time.

Great flower selection! The florist helped me put together a thoughtful arrangement, and also helped me schedule a flower delivery. Delivery was quick and on-time. Would recommend as a nice neighborhood flower shop.

Definitely not a staff focused on creating a welcoming and friendly environment. That said, it is too bad because it is a lovely shop with well-curated goods, and I have bought many things here over the years. I used to think that the treatment might be selective, perhaps based on how people look, however I do feel that they are cold and unwelcoming to everyone equally but not sure that really makes me feel better about shopping here.

While other reviews mention that the staff are unfriendly and unhelpful, I wonder if the staff are also racist. I've visited GRDN on two desperate occasions and both times I was never acknowledged- I even gave them the benefit of the doubt with my second visit. While I was not acknowledged, both times when white male individuals entered, they were greeted with a "hello." This is so unfortunate, as I was interested in purchasing a pot. However, as much as I like the pot, I cannot support this business.

Still my FAV garden store after all these years- absolutely gorgeous cut flowers, unique plants and fascinating decorative objects & small gifts. Every time I buy an arrangement as a gift it gets so many compliments!
