Brooklyn Public Library - Greenpoint Branch is a small, clean, and attractive community library. It features a bustling kids' section and a well-designed demonstration garden, making it a popular space for families. The library offers plenty of areas to work and has bathrooms, along with the unique option to check out tools and board games. While the adult book collection is somewhat limited and often relies on holds, visitors appreciate the helpful, friendly staff who go out of their way to assist, whether with printing issues or connecting to WiFi. The library is generally well-run, welcoming, and a good place for studying or relaxing. However, some visitors note that the seating is not very comfortable and that noise levels from adults talking loudly on the phone can be disruptive. Overall, it is a valued community space that provides access to books, resources, and a friendly environment, though it can be busy and somewhat crowded at times.
It's smaller than you think. Clean and attractive, but not truly comfortable seating. The kids section is always bustling. But the adult books on hand are ultimately not many. Most seem to get desired books by hold. A solid and hip but not expansive library.

I had a really positive experience at the Greenpoint Library today! Shelda was super helpful at the desk and went out of her way to help me sort out a printing issue. Having just moved nearby I found the working there approachable, and made me feel really welcome. Such a great community space to have access to thank you!

This place is BUSTLING. It has a good kids area, plenty of places to work, plenty of bathrooms, cool demonstration garden, and even lets you check out tools and board games. Really well-run.
Some people sleeping or staying out of the cold, but I’ve never had an issue with anyone being disruptive so far.
