Disgustingly overpriced. Every. Single. Item. Is 30% more than anywhere in this city. This company should be investigated for these prices - something is wrong here. The quality of all the meat and produce is akin to whatever fell off the truck that day. $10 expired Cabot cheddar cheese? Yep.$3.29 white onion? Check. Rice with holes in the bags? You betcha.Horrendous.This establishment is taking advantage of this neighborhood in a big way.I absolutely detest shopping here and you should too.

terrible. I showed up five minutes to closing to buy one thing and they wouldn’t let me in the door even though there was a line.

Usually frequent this location for convenience only. Today, 6/8/23 at around 2pm I was at the checkout and proceeded to pay with a Mastercard giftcard. The older grumpy homophobic employee who stands by the door in an hat and all blue said “ We don’t take giftcards!” And offered no other solution. I left the items and exited the store to walk to Key Food (same company as Halsey traders market) near Madison/Malcolm X. I selected the same products which were the same sale prices and was able to purchase using the giftcard as debit. I would ask Halsey traders market to please improve your customer service and find solutions rather than saying no :(((

Clean and well-stocked dairy, produce and pantry items. They have very few baked goods (breads, cakes, etc) and their prices are a little high. It’s also a bit tight inside which can be challenging when there are others trying to walk the aisles. I go because it’s the most convenient for me.

Constantly buying meat just to throw it out because it's spoiled. Happened twice last week.

Ok market but aggravating that they usually stop letting in customers at least 10 minutes before closing - hours should be changed.

The prices here are wild. They're as or more expensive than much nicer supermarkets, but the quality is much lower. I bought bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs here that were mis-labeled boneless and skinless. I suspect this means they should have been cheaper. I bought a tiny container of sage that was priced $10. I bought chicken wings here that smelled like bleach. There goes my dinner.

Please do something about the air conditioning here. I’m pretty sure it’s dangerously cold.

I had a horrible experience with one of their cashiers. After she rung up my purchases and we bagged it, I asked her for my receipt and she told me she put it in my bag. So I was like cool and exited the store. As I was walking and almost reached the corner, she tells me to come back because my transaction didn't go though. I waited while she finished with another customer and next thing I know, she printed my receipt which in fact shows the purchase went through. I expressed how I felt about her blatant lie and her incompetence. Her response was to be rude and disrespectful. More importantly, she wouldn't apologize and take accountability for her mistake. She literally look as if she wanted to get physical with me. I reached out to the Key Food HQ with a formal complaint. That employee's behavior was unacceptable to me and I'm demanding an apology.

Over priced and aisle are way too narrow, you can barely push a stroller in.
