Staff pretty standoffish and unhelpful except for the overnight front desk guy. The rooms are just okay, clean but that should be the bare minimum. Food at the restaurant is truly awful (undercooked noodles burnt shrimp) and they rush you out of there. Honestly for the price just stay at like a double tree or a Marriott. They advertise 2pm late checkout but only allowed me til 12 and hung up on me when I called down to ask about it. Shower was really bad. Didn’t clean the room other than making the bed and didn’t replenish coffee or glassware. Coffee machine didn’t work.

Extremely noisy hotel! You can hear people shouting in the hallways all the time… the ground-floor rooms are unbearable 😫

Nice hotel, rooms are well appointed. Great restaurant and the hotel is a convenient location for experiencing Brooklyn, especially Williamsburg.

clean and spacious rooms. nice location, near metro!
we booked via booking.com
free breakfast included. every day you have to get a breakfast voucher at reception. then there is a menu (actually two, one which is included in the room rate and one premium which is 15$)
when you go with the free breakfast, you still end up paying some fees and taxes, depending on how much you ordered. i think thats kind of weird.
room doors are def not soundproof!

Cleanliness, friendliness and modern design sum up my experience with Hotel 42.
Helpful and welcoming stuff, nice perks at check-in, and a location close to the subway.
Highly recommended!

This hotel is a hidden gem! After spending the day at the nearby New York Botanical Garden and Arthur Avenue for a delicious dinner, we headed over to our room. We easily parked in the onsite lot and were met by a friendly attendant at the front desk. The room was full of so many surprises! Super clean, chocolates, wine, water, slippers, robes, bathroom toiletries that smelled wonderful, a fantastic shower with multiple shower heads, a JBL bluetooth speaker, remote controlled blinds, a bed that was sooooo comfortable and luxurious, quiet and relaxing vibe, beautiful and surprisingly large lower floor with a nicely equipped fitness center and restaurant where we had a delicious breakfast to complete our stay. Then we headed minutes away to the DUMBO section of Brooklyn. Thank you Hotel 42!

I did a staycation since I got tickets to see a band nearby; I’m always hesitant when it comes to hotels but this one is top notch. Clean, convenient & they have great options for food at Black Bird downstairs. The subway is close by as well & they have a small parking lot. The front desk representatives were awesome!

Close to the subway but you cannot hear it at all. Close to a lot of Jewish things if u need that. Only two stops from manhattan. Could have more cool amenities but it’s a boutique hotel. There is NO late checkout. There is a paid secured parking lot but you really could just street park

My boyfriend and I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was clean, cute, and modern. We loved the robes, the complimentary wine, and the remote blackout shade. The staff was nice, especially the restaurant staff at breakfast, they were all so great. I don't like to eat a huge breakfast, so the free breakfast option was perfect for me. The location near multiple subway stops was very convenient, and there were quite a few places in the area to eat. The only thing that was difficult was working the TV. It was not intuitive to us, but we weren't spending a ton of time in the room anyway. 100% would absolutely stay here again.

Hotel is nice, but people have to know how to close their doors do not slam them, and don't be fooled with their breakfast, a croissant or bagel with coffee is not a continental breakfast, you actually have to pay for breakfast. one toast and an apple juice for my Granddaughter was $16.00, location is great, and plenty of restaurants and shopping stores, hotel is pricey considering that it is in Williamsburg NY(Brooklyn) you can get a good breakfast somewhere else. otherwise, it's a good hotel
