I have made an appointment with the virtual option. Advisor didn't show up even though i waited 15 minutes and didn't respond when called. They called me after the 15th asking if i want to file and said they didn't even file an extension. I asked whats the penalties for filing late when they called and they said they had no idea. THIS IS NEGLIGENT AND UNPROFESSIONAL. My advisor was said to have 30 years of experience and didn't care to file an extension. For having the highest fees in the industry, H&R BLOCK IS MEDIOCRE. You didnt show up and didnt file an extension. Go somewhere else, imagine what carelessness they can pull on your return.

I recommend Lorna Pascall. I’ve been going to her for the last 3 years. She is extremely knowledgeable and patient. She answers any questions you have. She files your taxes efficiently and has a great attitude! .

my husband and I made an appointment to do our joint taxes, the person on the phone said only one of us had to be there, it ended up being me. first of all, i got to my appointment on time but had to sit there for 50 MINUTES waiting for the person to be ready for me. what is even the point of making an appointment? then, the whole appointment the man who was helping me kept making the most sexist misogynistic comments. "is your husband okay with that? do you want to call him and ask him?" "do you want to just have your husband on speaker while we do this?" i told him multiple times i was confident to make the decisions in my own, and that i know what i'm talking about. he continued to talk to me like that. at the end he asked if we wanted a check or direct deposit, i said direct deposit and proceeded to pull my phone out to get my banking info. as i'm reading him the account number this man says to me "this is your husbands account right?" i said no it's my own personal account..... he literally says to me "well i typed your husbands name already, can we call him for HIS account number?" my exact wording back to him was "then backspace the f****** name......" f****** geriatric a******* grow up, it's 2022! women have bank accounts and jobs and do more than cook and clean.
