Never thought that I would have an issue with this office, but I did.
Filed taxes for 2024 with the H&R block and was sending monthly checks to the IRS as installment.
Today got a letter from the IRS that no money was received.
Confused I went to the IRS to see what is going on and to my surprise the payments were labeled for 2025 instead of 2024 , had to sit with the IRS agent and ask them to fix this issue for me.
Take your business elsewhere as this is unacceptable.
If I have not taken actions, my bank account and everything would have been seized because of this critical error.

This H&R Block located on Brighton beach is one of the worst h&r with unprofessional staff .
Mrs Lubov made my 2022 tax return (+1 star for it) so decided to do 23 too .
My appointment was on 16 February for two cases = new year + 2021 amended turn . I requested them l wanna hire 2 agents please than thins quicker please . Mrs Lubov for new year and the most experienced one for amended turn , they said she is Olga Kozhin . I said ok .
For an unknown reason Olga got two of them , still np . 2 weeks passed , month passed she never started my files ! I called 20+ and personally visited , she kept saying next Saturday lol .
Finally on March 29 , l went and asked them if my files done ✅ NOOOO didn’t start yet ? but WHY ?
Is this h&r services are free ?
They answered “it will be 1300$ for two years . Nice so why you don’t do your job ? Why do l need to wait extra 2 months for my refund for your laziness + ego Mrs most experienced.
You guys totally ruined my tax season . I would not recommend this location anyone .
Such an unnecessary behavior , stupid-weird things happened like they lost my papers, daycare expense receipts etc . These happens if you don’t do your job on time while they have 8-9 employees.

Terrible service, the accountant Novikovp made a mistake, I had to pay her twice for the service, again she calculated incorrectly and I paid $1,647 more for federal ones, I received a letter from the IRS that this money would be returned to me. I will never contact you again.

H&R Block is exactly what I was looking for: great customer service and highly skilled specialists. I can say that I have never been so happy and satisfied, doing the income tax.My tax specialist Olga Kozhin was very affable, pleasant and professional. She answered all my annoying questions, gave me some valuable advice, checked the stimulus check status and arranged the direct deposit for it and tax return. She also arranged the IRS tracking of my tax papers. The price was very reasonable and in 2 weeks I got the stimulus check and tax return.Thank you very much Olga and staff for the great service and pleasant experience.Sincerely,Irina G.
