I have only purchased fabric, zippers, and thread from this store for items I sew (have not used the upholstery services). The quality is excellent, and there are many types of fabric, but the choices (colors/petterns) are limited. Go with an open mind and be prepared to hunt--because you'll be rewarded with excellent bargains. The owner is very nice. (Cash only!)

This a good place to find scraps of fabrics but you have to search for a bit.They have nice prints but you have to deal with the little store and the mess. Nice people willing to help, specially the owner's son. Prices are decent compared to other stores..You can have your curtains made here among other things.

I was very pleased at the professional job they did in repairing and re-covering the seat cushion on this very old chair, and I found the price to be very reasonable. While at the store, I also picked up one of their unique masks and a very nice hand-made canvas bag. I will definitely be back.

I love this place. I was terrified when he moved locations and I am so glad he stayed in the neighborhood. he has everything you need for a basic to intermediate project and does upholstery services, makes curtains etc. keep small business in the neighborhood! ❤️

Excellent service and upholstery skills. I needed back and seat cushion covers for a mid-century modern chair. Angel was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when I ordered the covers which he was able to complete before the time promised. The sewing was excellent; he clearly takes pride in his craftsmanship. His prices were more than reasonable, they were a bargain (I purchased similar covers last year from another upholsterer on Bay Ridge Ave and paid almost twice as much). I look forward to using J&A again for all my upholstery needs.
