I love shopping at Fleet Feet in Park Slope, Brooklyn because the store is primarily for avid runners. They sell high end sneakers and good quality athletic apparel from exclusive brands. The prices may be high, but your health is an investment.

My boyfriend went here and bought shoes and was helped by a female employee. I don’t remember her name but she was very helpful and nice. He had a great experience. Flash forward, I visited here on September 28 and it was abysmal. First of all, there was a male employee in a boot and crutches, and he clearly didn’t need or want to be there. He asked me what I needed and I told him I would like to get a foot scan. He literally sighed in my face like that was the worst answer I could’ve given him, and he then pointed at an iPad across the room and said “Go get that.” He then told me how to do the foot scan and walking pad, and while I did these, he turned his back to continue helping another customer. I had no idea what I was doing. Another employee came up to assist me with the walking pad. I then waited for someone to go over the results with me. The guy in crutches brought the iPad over to me and immediately started suggesting different shoes and insoles, but he was looking at someone else’s results. I had to point out that my name is not Michael and that’s not my foot scan. He then proceeded to tell me that ASICs (what I was currently wearing) are a functional shoe but not an aesthetic shoe and he values both and said “We need to get you in the Adidas Evos.” THIS WAS ALL BEFORE HE SAW MY FOOT SCAN. He shouldn’t be recommending anything at that point because he doesn’t know what would be best for my feet. A THIRD EMPLOYEE walks up with the correct iPad that I did my scan on, and he goes to pull several shoes for me to try on. While I’m waiting, the guy on crutches is telling everyone how tired he is and how he’s about to go home. He leaves, the other employee walks back with the shoes. He then mansplains cycling running shoes to me and says “Once you run more, you’ll understand.” ???? I have BEEN running. I am training for my second half marathon of THIS year. I couldn’t believe the absolute horrible service I was getting and I did not want to support and give them any money, so I walked out and left. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone and I definitely won’t be back.

Amazing experience getting fitted for shoes. The staff is super knowledgeable especially Ella, she slayed and made me feel soooo much more prepared for the marathon. Def will come back!!

Telling someone if their sure they want to look at the prices because they look a little dirty when going to the store after work is crazy, but reading other reviews it makes sense now.

Pretty quick in and out experience. They gave me some options and helped me figure out a better size for my running shoes, ended up going home with a pair I like so far. I wish they had asked a little bit more so I know the shoes are especially right for me, but I definitely can’t say I’m not happy with the ones I ended up with.

My feet have been giving me pain for a while. Went to a Podiatrist and he made some recommendations. Went to Fleet Feet 5th Avenue yesterday. Best shoe buying experience I have had in ages. Worked with Juan and he took my 3D foot dimensions. From there he recommended styles, explained the actual shoe wear, recovery process, proper socks, etc. Spent half an hour and today am walking in total happiness!!!! Thank you Juan!!!!!
