I don’t know about you but when my watch doesn’t keep the right time I’m not happy. My husband and I arrived to our Brooklyn rental this past Saturday (7/15) and I realized my watch isn’t keeping time. I googled local jewelry businesses who can replace the battery in my watch, I read a good review so I took a walk over and hoped for the best. I met the owners Ely (husband/jeweler) and Nellie (wife/manager). Very nice people. Ely assured me my watch had a faulty battery and replaced it for $30 (competitive price). Now, my watch is keeping perfect time so I’m a happy camper! Thanks Ely & Nellie.

Literally swapped a diamond out of my grandmothers ring for a CZ. I have all the proof and have a detective on this case. I’m so angry at this so called “jeweler”. Apparently after speaking to people, this has happened before. This shop should be closed. Have also contacted BBB.

Update. The owner is the rudest nastiest man. Asked if I had a mental illness. Many neighbors have had similar terrible experiences with this jeweler. I believe in karma and know this man and his dishonest wife will learn their lesson at some point. What a sham of a business. Highly recommend staying away.Police file opened against them as of yesterday. Will update my community with results ASAP.

7th ave jewelers has been our local go to jeweler for many years. He (Eli) has a nice selection of watches, necklaces, rings, earrings etc and is reasonably priced and most importantly honest. He repairs watches, etc and gives appraisals too. We highly recommend supporting this local business.

Beware of bad reviews. I came in to replace batteries for three watches and resize one watch. The work was done right there. Prices are very good. I asked the owners about the bad reviews and they were a bit shocked. The owner does work off premises because that's where his workroom is. They told me about the story about the alleged stolen watch. Just not true as per their version. it's easy to pan businesses but I wouldn't in this case. I'd definitely come back. They had some very lovely pieces. And service excellent.

What a mix of good and bad reviews here! First off, I do believe them all. The owners are not super helpful, rude in fact but quite "old school" New York and I find if I'm rude too I am able to get what I want accomplished . As for the prices many people here seem to complain. They are actually very cheap. People who don't think so don't know what high-end jewelry work costs. This, to be clear is not one of those high-end places and anything super valuable should not be brought. They do have a lovely selection of estate pieces and I purchased a diamond bangle that I had appraised later and they sold it for under market value to me. So there's that. You just have to understand the market and what you want and if not, yeah, you should go somewhere else.

Wonderful shop with excellent service. I walked in and shared how important finding the right yellow topaz. My granddaughter is a 67% burn survivor had been interested in having a ring for many years. Right before her 14th birthday I decided to try to find something for her. The owner is truly kind and I am so greatful. The ring is impeccable.

Google says they open at 10. Waited outside until 10:10 and the garage doors were still down so I left. No signs with alternate hours anywhere. Waste of time.

Absolutely terrible establishment. Ruined my Chrome Hearts Cuban bracelet. Who in their right mind would shorten a bracelet in the middle. They claimed it was soldered but it looks like they attempted to only. Also what's with all the scratches?! I went in a days later to ask about it and they said nothing can be done to my brand new bracelet. These people (the man and women do not know their craft and I would avoid them at all cost

Can't speak to the jewelry but I can speak to the honesty of the proprietor (woman) there: not honest. NY Notary is $2 fee capped, she charges $5. I didn't bother arguing over $3 and gave her the win, but be warned, it says a lot about how business is done here.
