Bruce & Chris at Key Auto received my car, diagnosed it, gave me a quote, and expressed proper concerns quickly and efficiently. They took a quote from Brooklyn CJDR for $8k in labor, $3k in parts, trimmed the fat, and brought parts and labor down to $2.2k.
What more could you ask? This is a no-brainer. There's a reason they've been around for 45 years with unsolicited 5-star reviews.

It's good to know you can still find old fashioned quality service in the city. They replaced my car's AC and I would definitely go back for other services.

The only place I’ve been to, and the only one I plan on going to. I was a Zipcar member from way back, but we finally decided to get a used car when we had our kid.
This is the only place I’ve taken it to, and they always do great work, at a fair and honest price. When you find a shop you trust, stick with them. I’m glad to have found this gem!

Fabulous, Honest, Skilled Auto Mechanic
I needed a NYS inspection and called Key Auto yesterday based on the reviews. The owner said if I came between 8-9 am the next day, he could do it. When I arrived, the inspection was done. He saw that I hadn't had an oil change so he asked if I wanted it done. Since my car hadn't been serviced (used to go to the Genesis dealer) in over a year, I said OK. The price was very reasonable. He also checked the tires and some screens. He recommended that I have a tune-up in the Fall. He didn't push anything. It's so nice to find a responsive, honest, auto-mechanic. I highly recommend Key Auto. I feel lucky that the previous reviews accurately reflected my experience..

I had an issue with my ignition coil as my car this morning check engine light was flashing as I was searching for a mechanic as I am new to this neighborhood who was honest and knowledgeable and to my satisfaction that’s what Bruce at keystone provided.
I dropped my car off no appt. And waited for the diagnostic…1 hour later Bruce calls me and confirmed with me that it was a failed coil and plug … no gimmicks no lies no sleezy convo and that’s what I loved he also gave me a fair and truly affordable price… and the work was good my car drives great and feels better than when I dropped it off and to my amazement his shop was huge and clean… I would recommend all drivers who loves there cars. Thank you again Bruce.

10/10 had a fantastic experience.
My Subaru Forester was having some troubles so I took it in because Key Auto is close to my work. Bruce give me a quick diagnosis, a fair and detailed quote, and the turnaround on my repairs was unbelievable.
The quality is top notch too, my Forester rides like a dream now.
Key Auto is the best kind of mechanic, straightforward, honest, and fairly priced. Will definitely be returning should the need arise.

Honest. Literally the only auto center in my life that I have worked with that is honest. The Lexus dealer tries to rip me off every time. So I go here and I get the honest assessment and my car runs and works perfectly after them every time! Can't thank them enough. They are the best in the area.Services: Carburetor cleaning
